I have to agree that we are not going to come to a conclusion.
As far as I'm concerned it that as long as both people are willing, tust, care and love eachother who's to tell us what age gaps there should be?

Personaly age difference should not matter AS LONG AS BOTH PEOPLE WANT IT. No one should ever be forced tho but aslong as both people want it what is it our business to tell someone else what to do it wont afect us! (unless were one of the people)

ok first of all the whole age thing is ridiculous. i know more idiotic, inmature 20 year olds than i do 15 year olds and thats saying something. the thing is, age DOES NOT determine maturity. dont treat me like a child just because my birth certificate says 1992. i do think that people should date people appropriate for them, and in no way am i saying anything against interracial couples or age difference. a relationship is appropriate when the two parties have the emotional depth and maturity to handle it. now if only my parents could see it that way. and thats all i have to say about the matter. peace. love. and f*** the legal limit

i dnt rly think the whole age thing is rediculous. most of my mates are goin out wiht ppl around the same age as them. it helps if uve grown up with the same generation listenin to the same music and doin the same stuff. one of my mates is goin out with sum one 11 years older than her and shes not even in college yet. i think thats pretty foul tbh but its her decision and shes happy so...

nothing at all, the only thing I have against someone under the legal age limit is that most often the person isn't fully developed emtionally and physically. Age of consent laws aren't placed for fun, they are there to protect minors from themselves. You don't want to do something while you're young that you might really regret.
as for actual issue, if two people are in love then that's fine with me, no matter what the age difference. You could analyze the reasons someone would want that in a relationship to death, but if they're happy with eachother, then we have no right to judge, and come on, there's so little love in the world as it is

i think is a bit dodgy when the age gap is too big. its just not right, like when its more than 7 years. but its great when its like 2 years cos then he can teach you things lol

I have a 13 yr old friend who's boyfriend is 16 yrs old - THEY'RE HAPPY.
I have another 13 yr old friend who's boyfriend is 15 yrs old - THEY'RE HAPPY.
I have a 14 yr old friend who's boyfriend is 17 yrs old - THEY'RE HAPPY.
I'm not gonna give more samples.

A four year age gap isnt too bad.
But ifs it over that hen your like 14 then its bad lol.
My girl is only about 5 months younger than me and thats the youngest ive gone XD
Rest have been about 1-4 years older than me lol.

I think there's a huge difference between age and maturity and relationships should be based on maturity levels... It's really wrong for people to judge based on age. Whenever I'm with a group of adults they treat me like a child and dont take my opinions seriously, my mom also thinks she can decide everything about my life and things like this really bother me because i feel that yes, even though i am 15 i'm mature for my age. Dating someone below or above your maturity level could be sort of disasterous but it all depends on the person.

It's mostly a physical thing as far as I can tell. I'm simply not attracted to anyone beyond 3 years out in either direction, and intellectually can't deal with anyone much more than 2 years younger than me.
On the other hand, I really don't see why it should matter to anyone else. I've known happy couples with huge age gaps. Personally, I couldn't do it, but if it floats your boat, sure.

Age is not really a factor for me...
Ive been involved with guys quite older than me. We could walk around the city with our arms around each other, kiss in public. No strange looks, no people sledging us.
I hate having to keep it a secret from my parents, but it has to be done.
I think that im mature for my age, and other people sledging us. He does look quite young for his age too.
I dont feel below or above him. I dont feel like a child or a teenager. We seem even. He isnt some sick ugly freak..he's absolutely gorgeous and mentally stable, we're totally into each other. When we're with each other we're happy. Sue us.
I also have a thing for older guys..when i say older i dont mean like 30+. Teenagers are often kinda annoying, and i cant seem to hold on to one before he abruptly decides he doesnt like me....

well 2 of my friends who are girls and where 13 at the time went out with a 18 yr old. I wouldn't have mind if I knew he only wanted to screw them (and he did) then the 2 girls fought over him and hate eachother to this day for that and a few other reasons. I don't mind at all, you can be 14 and date a 20 yr old as long as you are mentally mature and he/she isn't after sex then good for you. My limit is 13 to 17 (I'm 14)

to me age gaps arent rly an big issue as long sas ur on the same page interlectually. i guess i cudnt cope with sumeone hus acted like they just hit puberty or somthing but at the same time without trying to sound naive if all ur gonna talk about is economic instability and the pension crisis, well...

well i myself have this problem im in 8th grade(soon to be 9th) hes in 10th so it sucks
well i think that once your in highschool(both of you) theres no problem
but with my dad hes in his late 30s HES DATING SOMONE OLD ENOUGH TO BE MY GRANDMOTHER!!!!
that i dont sopport(mabye its becus i hate em both tho) but if your in the same generation its ok(after highschool)
