The greatest musician of all time is, hands-down, Lester Young.
The Skatalites were good too before their bandleader killed his wife and made the whole group split up. Israel Vibration is a good Reggae band...
Also, Billie Holiday deserves mention for being the only singer to make me cry with her song 'Strange Fruit.'

I go for a different type of music.
my FAVORITE person is Regina Spektor, who's very alternative.
Then Imogen Heap, and Brand New ( an alt. rock/punk band)

I listen to nearly every genre of music out there except for a couple heavier ones.
In the softer range, I love Enya and Sarah Brightman, Slightly harder, Michelle Branch, Willis,The COrrs, Kylie Minogue, jem, Coldplay. In R&B, Nelly Furtado, Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna,George Nouzuka, Usher, Justin TImberlake, Blackeyed peas, Cassie, Mary j blige. In rap: Fort Minor, Akon. Reggae, Sean Paul. in Techno: Darude, Cascada. FOr foriegn Music: faye Wong, Eiffel 65,Akcent and oZone
My all time favorite: A tie between Linkin Park and Evanescence.

When it comes to genres of music, I'm a pop disco, and techno kinda guy. For bands and singers, I like Hellogoodbye, Madonna, OK Go, Panic! At the Disco, and Cher. Also throw in ABBA, Rufus Wainwright (didn't see that one coming, did you?), and Daniel Beddingfield kinda guy.
My favorite song, though, is "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred.

I'm kinda old-fashioned. I like 60's and 70's rock almost exclusively. But I'm not sure I can say I have a favorite. I have quite a list. O.o
David Bowie (this man is a genius. This man is Ziggy Stardust. This man is god. I want to be him when i grow up. Maybe he is my favorite, I think)
Lou Reed (he is like Trent Reznor's dad)
The Velvet Underground (songs about prostitutes, drugs, and transvestites! Horay!)
Elton John (this man is also a genius)
Led Zeppelin (nothing else need be said)
The Beatles (I only enjoy their latter stuff, especially Across the Universe, good song, good song)
Eric Clapton (Laaaaaayla! This man is elvis and beethoven. This man is jesus)
Pink Floyd (David Gilmour is both an exquisite guitarist and an incredible singer)

How could I have forgotten those two?? They're good.

By the way, what does your signature mean? I've been studying Latin for two years, but I've forgotten all of it over the summer (this is summer for me). All I could make out was "that Latin cannot say", but that can't be right...
It means roughly "you can't say that in Latin." But the grammar's probably all wrong cause I'm terrible at Latin.
