I think the best way the GYC helped me was when I was kicked out, everyone on here suported me, even if it was only a few messages here and there it made me feel like at least somewhere people cared if I was alright, and not to be cheese, it made me a little stronger inside

I think that thegyc has helped me better understand myself, make many great new friends that understand me, and thegyc has helped me meet a really sweet guy that lives in my town...THANKS GYC lol

Its helped me meet a nice bunch of guys who are in a similar position to me. that is... that sexuality is more dynamic that bi gay or str8 & that people feel differently that the normals of society sometimes.

It definately helped me to seek insight on problems in my own life that were similar to those around me.
I mean, I had no idea there were this many guys out there with similar problems as me!
And.. of course..
This website brought me to my love, Joseph. 1500 miles may seperate us, but we have kept our love strong. And now, my mom is great friends with him and we have planned a trip to Canada to go see him (me and my mom).

the gyc has helped me so much i don't even know where to begin. before i used to just have my girl friends and the occasional guy friend to talk about being gay, but none of them could relate to what i was going through. now, i can get on here and just talk to a bunch of people. i've met so many great friends, found out one of my friends was bi though here and i met a totally awsome guy i just love to death. so thanx gyc for giving me opprotunities ^_^

Hi, My names Joe and I'm 15. I found the gyc last year when I was 14. I felt alone in the world, like no one cares for me, theres no other guys out there like me. Then I found this website. I cannot thank you guys enough, all of you, for teaching me this worlds not gone dead. I love all of you and I always will.

I guess I can't really say I felt alone, but i feel so much happier being able to talk to ppl who are dealing with the same thing as me, even if its not about sexuality etc. just talking politics or baby kangaroos with someone here can make me feel better. I'm really glad i found this site. <3333 MWAH!

The Gyc Is amazing.. because not only can I see people around me by browsing me.. but it gives me a chance to prove... Im me... in my ggaaayyy way  but like the whole idea of the gyc is scoailizing with people and meeting new people who share the same experiences... like for instances... gays, bis, llez, and even 2 spirited.. Its awsome... its just a prayerbeing answered to those who need help getting out and feeling free

When I first joined GYC a couple days ago I thought this would just be some stupid knock off of myspace or face book. But I love GYC now I will be using this like everyday. This site has been a big help it has bring me close to other gays and bisexual individuals, it has let me connect with individuals in my community and most of all it has let me post some of my experiences an a bisexual individual. I think some of my post may be interesting to read and may help you through some hard times…. Like coming out.

Well, thegyc has definitely helped me to find friends that I can talk to and its helped me realize who I really am and its helped me accept the fact that I'm gay. I've met some awesome people here and they've all helped me realize my sexuality. I used to feel so alone all the time, since I live in a small town area with what seems like hardly any other gay or bi people. Now I can talk to people who are going through or who have gone through the same things I am.

I am so glad that I signed up here, im meeting great new friends, and the fun of quickly closing the computer everytime someone comes in is rather exciting XD. But, the best part of it all, is that I found my boyfriend.. Jay. Jay I love you and thank you for welcoming me to this site, from the moment I saw you.. I knew I had to ask you out. The gyc helped introduce me to others like me and i've learned not to be ashamed by my sexuality but instead to embrace it....thx...

Relationships that start online, especially long distance ones, never have gotten the respect they deserve from the general public. They're thought to only last weeks and never share the same chemistry that close distance relationships have. However, I'd like to disagree.
About 6 months ago, a boy sent me a message through Myspace saying that he saw my GYC profile and was interested in getting to know me. We did get to know each other. And I am proud to say that the boy who sent me the message a half a year ago is my boyfriend.
He lives in Canada and will be attending Ryerson University shortly.
I live in Miami, FL. That is approximately 1500 miles away from each other. However, even though the distance is so great, the love that we've come to develop for each other can span galaxies. I've never loved someone as much as him. He is truly one of the best boys I've ever met and I pray that our relationship can continue lasting as long as it has.
Joseph, I love you so much, and you mean more than the universe to me. In your words that you said last night, "You are the universe." I love you more than I can say and I hope we can continue sharing some of the greatest moments together. No matter the argument, and no matter the distance, I will continue to love you no matter what.
