The first person I told was one of my friends Alex. He's two years yonger than me, but at school on gloomy Wednesday he came out to me and told me he was gay. I'd only known him for about a week but I felt he wouldn't tell anyone. This summer holidays I told one of my best friends Ryan, who I'd wanted to tell. I'm planning on telling my best friend Beth when I get back to school...

hmmm i think the first person i told was probaly my bi friend dan who was open i think he was the first person i told hmmm oh wait i told a friend Christian 2 yrs ago but i dont he agreed with and gnored it and then forget about it hang the first person i told and acepted could of been my friend George meh i cant rember who i came out 2 but my parents dont know im bi

Well, first came out to one of my closest friends (a girl), and only because my closest friend (also a girl) had asked me out and it was going to be too hard to say no and tell her why (although, looking back, I don't know why I thought that as it's only made us closer!). I didn't say it outright though, my friend asked me if I was gay after I had said no to almost every other alternative as to why I couldn't go out with her lol. By that point I was writhing on the floor nearly in pain lol...
That was 7 months ago (to the day actually! ) and since then I have told all my close friends and not had a single bad reaction, so you could say I'm very very lucky! 
Parents though will be a different matter: I want to tell my mum but just can't find the right time, or the right words (although I'm gay would be pretty effective I'd imagine lol). My dad's a bit of a homophobe tho, don't know if mum would keep it from him so I think they're best left until I go to uni...

dun it ins cience, there woz liek5 of us and we all wrote down a secret and put it ina hat then evry1 red each 1 out and they were all liek omg! whos bi and i woz liek its me, then on ym bday my bessie sophs came out 2 me and ellis and my ova bessie came out like a mnoth afta i told her

First and only person I told was my friend. She asked me one day, and I told her, of course. Then she told my other friends, so a grand total of like, three people know, and that's about it.

The first person i propally came out to was at that point my best mate 4 year ago, he was cool with it, but said people always tell me that their gay and for some reason expect me to say it back. Now this same guy is my beautiful boyfriend!

Hey guys,
I first came out to my best and oldest friend. We've been friends for a long time, since like 5th grade, and he said we still are best friends, so he was cool with it. I then told some of my other friends, and they were cool with it, they even wanted to help me find a bf  . I even found out that one of my friends is bi.
So now everything is seems to be going good, except i havnt told my conservative, catholic parents yet..... bUt so far its all good

I told one of my best friends dominic first in high school, she was fine with it. But then the next day, everyone in my year found out andthe day after the rest of the school found out and i got a lot of name calling from a lot of the male students in the school, all the girls in the school wax fine about it as they always asked me for fashion and make up tips.
Then a few months later i finally told my mum when we were in mcdonalds and while she was eating her burger i told her and i thought she was going to hit me or something but all she said was ok. So that was the first jhurdle and then i told my dad and i was surprised with him as he was fine with it aswell. He even said that as your uncle and yhour cousin is gay and the family is fine with them, why wouldn't we be ok with you. So I didn't really have it that bad.

I came out to one of my good (female) friends a few days ago.. It was a lot less painful than i had expected and she took it sooo well

the first people who knew i was gay were my sister and my best friend (who is also friends with my sister). i didn't really come out to them, they kinda just told me they knew i was gay and i was like, "yeah..."
then i came out to my friend adam after he came out to me. and we ended up going out for awhile, but not anymore.
and my guidence counselor told my parents (and i loathe her for it  ) first my dad was depressed because he wanted a son who would "follow in his footsteps" or something...then he started being really mean and he wouldn't let me see my boyfriend...but he's cool with it now...and my mom doesn't really have a problem with it although she tried telling me stuff like "it's just a phase" and "i'm only a teenager, how can i really know what i am yet" which i thought was stupid because, if i was straight, she wouldn't be like "oh, it's just a phase, you might end up being a flaming homo"
but all my friends know and i'm lucky to have great friends who are cool with that. and my immediate family all knows and have no problem with it, but i'm not allowed to tell my grandparents so i'm worried about when it's time for my prom because i'm not going unless i go with a guy, but i'm afraid my parents will have a problem with that...

The first person I told was my gay cousin....He was okay and everything with it, obviously, but he kept prodding me for info as to how far I had gone with someone, and that I was too young to know what I want, blah blah blah....And I was like.....OMG that's so sweet that you care and all....But....This has been a loooong time coming.........lol......And my other cousin (female) kinda found out at the same time, because I guess my gay cousin (Eric) shreiked rather loudly when he read the e-mail, and she read it over his shoulder, and then I guess my aunt came down and saw it too, though I didn't find out until much later on, when I was freaking out about telling her. He should've told me earlier!! Many awkward conversations could've been avoided there!!!! All in all though, I haven't had too many issues with this stuff, though my homophobic brother still doesn't believe I'm actually gay. The ironic part about that is he was always the one to call me a fag and such.....Lol I guess he's just weird like that.

I came out to my mum and she took it really well, It felt great it was a double wammy though because I told her that I had a boyfriend as well so ya know. We are closer than ever though so it all worked out for the best!

well i came out to my best friend (girl) right after she asked me out...it was weird cos she was like 'i like u… as more than a friend', then im like 'umm, im gay'…(lol)... she laughed then looked at me, and realised i wasn't kidding...and then she's like...'oh', and then im like ‘yeh’…then there was the uncomfortable silence…followed by she saying ‘lets go shopping already’ (we where on our way to the shops)…she is in Queensland now, but we still talk on msn…

My friend amanda, she was shocked, i thought she was disturbed but its apparenty cuz i seemd uber-straight... surprise! the only people i still have to come out to is my parents and one of my teachers (of the people i want to come out to)

Ok, well, my parenst found some porn involving men only  and confronted me about it and I told them I was gay, this was when i was 12 or 13, they then told me I was going through puberty and I needed more time to make up my mind. I think they were pretty shocked.
So I think my parents didn't accept it when i was taht young, but when i reiterated the point only a couple of months ago, they were cool with it.
So yeh the first person I told and believed me was a friend (girl) and we aren't even that close, but we go shopping together LOL

i came out to my best friend, michael, first. he was really surprised at first but hes still just fine with it...usually. He still says "No you're not gay." but hes fine
