I've pretty much cut out meat for health reasons. It's a killer when you are trying to lose weight. I'm not exactly a pure vegetarian though... I'd die if I couldn't have my lasagne or pizza at least once in a while.

ACK! Sorry 4 the double post up there! @ Dex: I don't eat meat for several reasons. #1: It's healthier, & I never really liked meat to begin with. #2: I love animals & the environment, and by being veggie, I'm showing that I care about nature. #3: Interestingly enough, some of the greatest minds were/are vegetarian (like Albert Einstein, Leonardo DaVinci, & my favorite composer Philip Glass). #4: I love to be different!
Hope this answers your question Dex,

I use to be a a very strict vegetarian, unfortunately my meat enthusiast dad was out to get me back to eating animals. Somewhere along the line my parents refused to buy me the food i required to keep my protein and iron levels up. I got sick so I had to start eating animals again. I only eat poultry and fish though, I hate red meat.

Hello! I'm just a general vegetarian; I eat dairy and all that jazz, although I avoid cheese with rennet in it, anything containing gelatin, and dairy products where the animals in question have not been raised free-range and humanely. Yay.

General vegetarian here...Those poor animals...However, I'm kind of semi-vegitarian, because I east fish. But I hate meat...
However, I was suffering under an eating disorder for a while, and my anorexia therapist said to restrict a food group while developing is very unhealthy, especially for notoriously underweight teenagers (which, apparently, I fell into this seamlessly transparent category). So I had meat shoved down my throat for, like, over a year, before I fully recovered. It was quite painful and tragic.

I'm vegan! I've been vegan for a few months now...I've found vegan food is generally better than meat, plus dairy is just disgusting. I love animals, so switching to vegan is like, the best choice I've ever made.

And Ghandi, Buddha, and Hitler.
I'm not a vegitarian, however I do agree with the animal rights sentiment. Hurrah humane treatment, all that.
My brother doesn't like vegitarianism, but he really likes veganism because he's against dairy all the way. He can only have milk in cerial, or he won't touch it. Not even cheese or butter. Especially not butter. The thing he doesn't like, is that it's taken from another speicies: only two things live off another species's milk, and that's us and some really horrid bacteria.
Sorry for tripping into the topic without any proper reason to be here, but the Godwin joke was too good to miss. Carry on.

I'm not a vegitarian myself, but I support you guys! I volunteered at Vegfest, a convention for vegitarians. It was a bunch of booths with different samples of vegitarian foods so veggies can find out about the new and delicious foods out there. I helped to pour tiny cups of tea!
And there was this cute guy who came by a lot and tried like all the five flavors. And so at one point, I was like "You can't be that interested in tea."
And he goes "You're right."
And I thought to myself, "Crap! I don't know what to say now!"
And so nothing happened between us. Anyways, he was cute. Vegitarians are cool people and I don't know why people make fun of them.
