I'd give my school a 8. It's very accepting, although there was one incident when afew stupid guys in my class, not because they particularly were homo-phobic, but because they were just playing around (it was annoying though lol) began making advances on me, if you know what I mean, and when my headmaster found out he called in our entire class into one classroom and gave them a huge lecture about how I was so courageous that I had come out, that we should accept people who are different, and after he finished, he said to me that he made them, and I quote "feel like shit". I thought that was pretty cool, that he stood up for me like that.

But overall, ya, my school is pretty accepting. There are afew, and I mean, a very small few who are stupid, but most are accepting and I haven't lost any friends over it. I've had a pretty easy ride compared to most people.

not sure yet, i came out right before the end of last year so i haven't had to deal with people from school yet, but i'd say a 8. they're fine with it i guess but underneath they're thinking something...

For the past 4 years I went to an art school, I'd give it a 10, I was never harrased, neither were any of the other guys and gals at my school to my knowledge. But now I'm taking a 5th year at another school and I've got no clue how it's gonna be, we'll just have to find out.

I'd rate my school a 5. It's a *really* rich conservative private school, really ritzy, but most of the students possess exemplary stupidity. A picture of me was hanging in a classroom and some boys defaced it by poking my eyes out!!!
Also, I wrote an article for the school newspaper on gay-intolerance at the school, and it created a huge uproar: the Dean of Students had twelve different meetings from parents who were outraged that my school promoted a "homosexual agenda" and vowed they would not send their kids there again. One school in the area banned rising high schoolers from transferring to my school.
But despite all the ill-feeling, the teachers are amazing. The Head of the English Department, Myra McLarey (she's a published author!!! You can find her book "Water by the Well" on Amazon.com!!!) gave me awesome quotes for my article and told me she's marched with her gay friends in Pride Parades.

My school is definatly a 10.

I go to a school called Alliance High School in milwaukee. It's like a regular public school, but it's actually a charter school, and it was opened for people who are different from everyone else or who got teased at their old school or whatever. A lot of LGBT kids go there. The lead teacher [principal] is a lesbian, and a couple other teachers are gay. It's pretty awesome. Everyone is very accepting and nice and stuff. I came out because of one of my friends there, and I met my girlfriend because of the lead teacher. :]

9 1/2. Even though I live and go to school is in a really prestigeous, conservative community, EVERYBODY loves me!! I mean, I'm the Junior Class President, and undoubtebly the next student body president... what more can I say!?!

5- my school is located pretty much in the middle of nowhere, (besides the nearby highway located directly behind the school) We have a bunch of red necks that think they are all ganster and what not, they think fighting is cool. and theres this kid on my street, he deffently has issues (his mother is like insane) he thinks he is a gangster too, but everyone hates him because of the way he acts and hes so anoying.. I'm not a hick tho....
