I generally go for PDA. Nothing too obnoxious usually, but for the most part I don't even think about it. If I feel like being affectionate I do it without thinking about who's watching.

Well it really depends I've had people shout obscenities at me for showing PDA, but in most cases i ignore it, some people look at you weirdly and some don't care. For the most part some guys are ok with PDA and some aren't comfortable at first i wasn't really comfortable with it, but in the end didn't really care what people thought guess it's a comfort level for everyone on how comfortable they are with showing two guys and some PDA, i guess main thing is to ask them if they're ok not to force them to do it.

As logn as it's not the public smooching and crap, I'm fine with it. Holding hands, hugs, those are normal. I really don't care what other people think. What are they gonna do, run home to mommy crying?

Yeah I've shown PDA with my partners. Not excessively, just holding hands, hugs and kisses good bye and stuff. It's normal and it would make me hate straight couples more if I couldn't do it so it's in their best interests

Had some funny looks on a bus once when I kissed my bf goodbye but they all calmed down afterwards so I think I even managed to change a few peoples minds

I would definately hold hands in public, i would hug/kiss goodbye, but i probably wouldnt do tongues in public

i dont think there is anything wrong with it, and no reason why gay people should act different than straight people in public or feel ashamed...

See in my relationship out of the two of us I am the only one completely out. Only a few people KNOW about her. Some people assume but not many know. Everyone knows about me... but when in public places.... I get sort of antsy when she wants to show me off as hers.... I dont tell her no but i always notice the people staring and occasionally it bothers me because i dont want her to go through all the shit i went through with people coming out. So with us and PDA it depends on where we are really

PDA's are great! The more i do it the more i have confidence in myself to stand up and say yea im gay so what? if you got a prob with that then it's your prob. I think the more the world see same-sex couples holding hands & kissing, then the quicker acceptance levels rise and gay-hate reduces

i think i'd want some PDAs, i'm a very affectionate person, even with my friends i've always been quite intimate. so i'd expect similar from my boyfriend (if he ever materialises) and for him not to feel ashamed

Re:problems with PDA (Public Displays of Affection) 1 Year ago
My girlfriend and I are both confident and open with our sexuality in public. Even if it's going out in town we hold hand and kiss like any normal couple. We may get a few odd looks, or the odd pointing finger but we are both happy and comfortable so we don't really care.
At first I kinda felt abit awkward, but not infront of anyone, just infront of my mates. But now I am more confident then ever of being with my girlfriend infront of them.
Last month I went to this guys party with my girlfriend and all my best mates. Alot of people I knew were there and alot of girls from my school. It was mid-way into the night and we seemed to be the talking point of the party becuase we were the only gay couple there, and to be honest who anyone really knew about. I kissed my girlfriend and I heard this sound of disgust behind me, I turned round it was actually a girl I knew from school who was bitching about me and my girlfriend to all these guys. Due to the fact she was the only one in my life who has ever done that, I ignored the twat and carried on and had a great night.
The following weekend, I was at a party that me and one of my best mates Bam-Bam had organised, the same girl was there but after she decided that there was nothing to do she left, however the two guys she brought went round starting on alot of people. Me and my girlfriend who were oblivious to the fact that this was going on were having sitting on the floor the otherside of the place we had it. The two guys walked past said "are you the lesbians", of course being proud of who we are we replied "yea, why?" - nothing was said and before I knew it one of the guys kicked me round the head and they both ran off. I suffered wipe lash and server brusing on the right side of my head just for being gay. When everyone found out what happened, they all found the guy that had kicked me - trust me he won't be hurting someone because of there sexuality again.
