God does not hate us he put us here to test other people. The Test is to see if people can learn not to hate someone just because there gay or bi. It is onw of his ways to show people are different and we shound not hate them because of it.

Of course God doesn't hate us...we're being ourselves, we're not...killing kittens or anything. We love who we love, just like anyone else, and if he did create us, then doesn't it stand to reason that he created us exactly how we are? It wouldn't make sense to make something to be a certain way and then get mad when it's the way you made it.

But i once heard someone say that in da Bible is say god make people to lie in the same bed, it doesnt say that a man had to lie with a woman and the other way round. God created every person to be different for a reason. He loves all his children. He would not make anyone gay if the purpose was not for good. This is what the Bible tells us and it's a shame that priests and church officials have to spin the truth and try and outcast us because of how were were created, BY GOD. They are sinning by outcasting us, the thing God told us not to do.

The Egyptians definitely didn't invent religion, it was all around the world, in different forms everywhere. This is because religion is just a way to explain life, and things that we don't understand. If there is a "truth" it would be evident in every culture, truth can't be different in different places. now, we have science, and can except, "theres a reason, but we don't know it yet" as a valid explanation for why things happen, and right now, we're pretty damn close to having an explanation for almost everything... but lets back off the science for now. People believe the bible is the word of god. Maybe it used to be, but there have been around 2000 years for people to change around little things. I mean, anyone who leaned about the middle ages in school must see how corrupt the church was. People were illiterate, and just did what the priests told them. It would have been quite easy for someone to throw in, "he who lies with another man shall be stoned to death".

If you believe in god or gods or any sort of religion and are happy with your beliefs, then thats great, life is here to enjoy, and no one should tell you how to do that.

Well, God doesn't exist, first and foremost, so this is really an academic debate. But my general perception is that the sort of people who subscribe to the biblical insanity of hating gays are also the sort of people who would hate us even if they didn't have a justification. They just love to hate. For an example of what I mean, look up the Westboro Baptist Church, and see some people who are so virulent they even piss off their fellow religious crazies. It's good for a laugh when you consider that this guy, Fred Phelps, has a parish that preaches to his immediate family only. Of course, he's an extreme case, but are Jerry Falwell or James Dobson really any better? People who take from religion a message of hate are just bad people who hate because they fear anything different. They don't speak for God, and you don't need to worry about them.

Besides, what do we care what some dirty old man living in the desert 3000 years ago thought of us? Only two books in the bible say anything bad about homosexuality. Leviticus, and St. Pauls letter to the Romans. If we all lived according to Leviticus, then disobedient children could be stoned to death by their parents, you could kill people for working on the sabbath, and you could burn your mother at a small family gathering for marrying again. I think we're okay.

This guy makes a good point, though. Outcasting gays is bullshit. One of the best moments in the New Testament is when Jesus tells that crowd of people to let he who is without sin cast the first stone, and they all walk away. How many anti-gay preachers and politicians in the states have been busted recently for secret gay stuff? What about that Mark Foley dirtbag who was hitting on his pages in Congress? Hating gays is, like all forms of hate, based on fear. This particular brand of hate is special, though. It's usually based on the hater's fear of himself.

There's a movement of people called the Red Letter Christians, who are trying to recast Christianity as a moral philosophy, and Jesus Christ as what he really was; a moral visionary who dared to believe things, like turn the other cheek, and love thine enemy, that most people still can't wrap their minds around today. All this bullshit about him being the son of God didn't get started until the Council of Nicaea.

But look them up. Red Letter Christians.

I don't think god hates us. I may be buddhist like my father now but when I was younger my mother always made me go to church with her. My mother always taught me that no matter what it says in the bible the god doesn't think homosexuality is wrong otherwise he would not have made them like that. I know its similar to other people's posts but thats my genuine opinion.
