Best guy friend who I was pretending to date first, then best girl friend (only thing I've never told her is that I like her), and I'm trying to get the guts to tell my mom.
I've hinted at it before, and she said something along the lines of "Well, you know Zoe's parents (one of my other friends has two gay moms), these kinds of things never work out for same-sex marriage."

I didn't get it either. I had mentioned a few bi people, and asked her what she thought, and she brought up two lesbians who were happily married.
For the last time, I'm not gay, or straight. I'm bi.

The first person I came out to was my brother. I walked in on him watching porn and I showed absolutely no interest until... well, yeah. The news didn't phase him much, and we still did all the stuff we used to do, so I was happy about that. About a month later my friends and the rest of my family found out.

I came out to a good friend of mine. We were sitting on a bench in the dark, and i'd often thought like 'maybe i should tell him' but I just jumped in and said I had something to tell him. Then he said "What? do you have testicular cancer? are you gay?" jokingly. i just said yes and he was like "no! thats not it! what is it really?!" and it was so surreal took me about half an hour to persuade him I wasn't joking.

I can't recall the first person, it was probably about 10 years ago now, or more, but I do have a habit of coming out to my friends when I am drunk. Bad I know, but no bad reactions yet luckily.

I came out to a friend first. She is one of my best friends, and she is lesbian, so, I hoped she would be able to help me, and she did so much.

The first person i came out to was my best friend (a girl) during our summer holiday gap between year 10-11, she encouraged me to tell my then girlfriend and when i did....................well lets just say she didnt take it well and when i came back to school after the summer holidays my whole year knew and it was spreading to the other younger years i tried to hide and pretend but apparently i "Act" gay (how can you act gay i act the way i always have) and no one believed me so now i live in fear cos ive recieved death threats but my friends really helped me

I was sort of forced out of the closet. I send this email mentioning that I was gay and without thinking that it is a organization my mom is a part of I sended it anyway. She read that email in the morning and asked me if I was gay. I said I don't know and she implied that I was confused. Then after work my dad took me for a ride and asked me questions concerning homosexuality. I just came out to him and it was the most hardest thing I ever done in my life. Being that my family is Catholic I thought they would be hurt by the fact that I am gay. That was not even a issue.

Well the first people I told were my parents....and they sent me to a psychiatrist, who "cured me" (or so my parents think). BAD IDEA! So I don't count them as the first people I told.

The "FIRST" people I told were my best friends in University. They were SO supportive, and I love them all ^__^. I've told two other BEST friends since (who were also very supportive), so i'm out to 5 people now ^__^.

Well, at first I told people I was bi, so excluding that the first person I told was my brother. He took the news of me being bi very well, so when I told him I was gay he said it didn't make that much of a difference to him
