well, this may seem crazy, but u know how it's floosing in the UK? the company who made the simpsons had a giant homer simpson painted next to the cerne abbas, a fertility site in england. the wiccans around that area threatened to do rain spells to wash away the homer. that just shows a little power can go a long way...

from my partner:

magick is all about the person that uses it, the will of that person, of they want rain, they'll make rain, whatever they will.

wicca isnt about being fun or magick. magick may be a part of wicca and you may enjoy doing the rites, but it's more about becoming one with the earth, litening to nature, u know...

no offense but ANYONE can say they made it rain... after its been raining. i mean what have individual people done? as in i did blah and an hour later or whatever blah happened. rather than something happened and someone took credit for it

Magic is a powerful thing and a huge part of my life. If i didn't have a deity to confide in i wouldn't be able to be who i am, Magic made me who I am. I practice all sorts of magic and i have found that the most powerful magic is the act of kindness...a single smile can brighten up a person's day far more than a load of chanting.

Not that chanting isn't effective - i have used it to great effect many times.

Wicca isn't just hurling curses it's a way of life, and just because all people don't believe in magic anymore doesn;t mean it's any weaker.

I believe what people have been saying - the spell is only as good as the caster; it's all about your will, determination, concentration and force of character - i suffer from lapses in concentration now and again...probably why i woke up in the middle of a snow storm 7 hours after a cast a spell to call for warm weather! lol

Anyway i have ranted for long enough but any wiccan, druids, faerie-crafters, witch's etc who want to get in contact please do!

I'm sorry but i don't think that is fair.
Wicca means a lot to tonnes of people - just because it's become publicised over the past decade on televison doesn't make a bit of difference when we consider that nature worship is the oldest form of religion there is.

Magic came before television
So surprisingly enough i didn't piece together my belief system from Charmed and Buffy!
