Rufie Wainwright's gay, as people have mentioned. Ani DiFranco is bi, I believe. Also, Jacob Diefenbach is gay. His album 'Ripping Stories For Boys' is great, and it handles a lot of issues pertaining to growing up gay.

Freddie Mercury, the lead singer for Queen, was gay. Some would say he was bi, but even his first girlfriend (who remanded his friend) said he was gay.

yeah queer as folk music are really nice resources, maybe it's not easy to get a gay artist freely easily as you want but for sure to look up in dance music is a nice choice...
