The only thing gays do not go with is religious indoctrination, and i probably wouldn't want to define myself as i gay by the labels such as sinner ect that religion like to throw very causally at the gay community.
Why listen to bible anyway, just because a roman emperor declared to be the word of god 6000+ years ago doesn't mean it is the basis for universal truth.
Hope u work it out, no religion is allot easier.

Historically people have interpreted parts of the bible to suit their own purposes (women clergy for example). Its clearly understood that it was written centuries ago and was relevant exactly as it stood then but it was also understood that it should be 'updated' in accordance with society and the laws of the land - our laws accept gay marriages etc, it seems to me people are cherry-picking the bits they want to update to the 21st century, however most of the people who do make these updates tend to be conservative and even taking out the Christian bit wouldn't accept gayness (I know its not a word but tough).
I know I'm worthy, I'm going to listen to my heart and be myself all my life, God does love everyone, he created us to be who we are, I'm not ashamed to be bi/gay and Christian.

A certain cult of the Baptist church puts it well-God Hates Fags(.com).
Though many people, up to and including the poor women who turned around to have a little glance at the fireworks as God flattened the city of Sodom (where we get the word sodomy, which tells you why it was flattened) were turned into pillars of salt or otherwise maimed/killed by the God that stalked the Old Testament, homosexuals were in fact among them. No. At least in the three desert dogmas, we aren't welcome.

The way I see it, everyone sins. There are so many things that the Bible condemns that it's impossible for anyone to live up to all of its expectations. Besides, wasn't the whole point of Jesus coming to Earth so that our sins could be forgiven? I see this example a lot, but gluttony is a sin, too, and yet they allow fat people in church. The Bible condemns divorce a lot more than they do homosexuality, and yet, in my very conservative fundamentalist Christian church, it wouldn't be a stretch to say that maybe 1/2 have been divorced.

darkness, you are off dude. The Bible does say that God is loving and caring and will forgive anyone and let them into heaven if they repent. but if you look up the definition of "repent" (and I quote from dictionary.com): "to feel such sorrow for sin or fault as to be disposed to change one's life for the better; be penitent." see where it says "to be disposed to change one's life"? that would imply that if you really were repenting to God for your sinful thoughts and acts as a homosexual, then you would have the desire to CHANGE that sin. You would want to stop it. I think people who classify themselves as gay christians are giving up and giving in to a lifestyle of sin that can be overcome and you still will get into heaven if you have accepted Christ, however, you should want to honor God by living a pure life which is not possible by giving in to a lifestyle of sin. You can change your ways! Im praying for you
Look, BillyBudd, I think that is stupid. You are saying that gays can feel gay and have gay tendancies but can never love another guy, can never have sex. My belief is that God doesn't care. So long as you still make time to talk to him he will tell you what to do. Being gay might be your calling, it might just be so that you can reach out to gay guys. Who knows. Ask God.

To me... it depends on what God you mean? Do you mean the Son of God, or the God of myths? Or variations of this "God", every culture knows of one.
=. For me, I think, there are two elements that I am measured for.
One...
That is the christ in me, the one who is Son of God, Jesus, The one who is in heaven, The Father, and the Spirit, The counsellor. All these aspects are the one I know.
He is one being, role of three.
To understand such a complexity is not human... as to my understanding.
Two...
there is me. =) You and everyone else here.
Man kind, and God.
What it comes down to, when you ask can a homosexual live faith with God, the Christ?
I say yes. =)
It really comes down to the basics of free will vs predestination, isn't it?
Because techniquically if God has all power to everything and everyone... then, we do not have to chose anything, cause it's all done for us. But with that notion, it can only claimed with certain situations and circumstances, depending on the indivual and their understanding.
And with free will, technically, we can chose and do whatever we are pleased with... but that strands a lot of the voice of God inside of you, you see... If you're heading the crap road, you won't know. Cause if you chose and do whatever you please without accepting it's your responsibilities... then, one might just blame God for the mishappenings.
For me... there is a balance that must be drawn. Either wrong or right, decide in your own mind.
If everyone tries to justice God, God is love, and nothing bad will happen to you when you do wrong things, scripturally based, then, that's not good.
I know that, and what I've read, God doesn't desire gifts, nor wealth, nor rituals... but a daily offering of the heart that is true to hear him, obey him, and talk with him. In our mist of sins, even, I do see he will not leave those who have placed faith in him, in his graceful calling, he will not forget us, if we are true to his willing goodness.
Though, it reminds me of this scene, in Lord of the Rings in the Third series, When Arwen drops the book after trying to encourge her father to make that sword workable again, but in failing to convice him, he holds her hands and feels their are cold. He says something spirit is leaving you. And then she says...
Wheither it by your will or not, this is my choice.
And that was playing my head this month again and again and again.
I think, if the Spirit Of Jesus has ever landed on your soul, I think, you will know the love that he will endure upon you to search for him, desire him, and encourage in him.
Even though ones flesh is bound on earth, there is hope in the spirit.
If that makes sense at all...??

Ultimately love is the number one thing any Christian should be looking for in humanity. To be honest I don't think God is bothered by whether or not your soul-mate is the same or the different gender to you, as long as you are in a loving relationship.
Like most parts of the Bible, there is a lot of contradiction. I refuse to accept a God who loves all and yet at the same time can discriminate between 'good' and 'bad' people. Doesn't quite add up, does it?
Love is love. Hetero, Bi, or Homosexual doesn't come into it. That's my opinion anyway.
