First off. If you are a christian or are catholic or what ever. You HAVE TO read the bible with a concordance and must ALWAYS consult MORE than one bible SCHOLAR. Preachers and Pastors are not scholars. They can be but sometimes are not. Go to someone who was in a specific college just for biblical stuff. Go to more than one. They will all have a diffrent answer. So combine them to get your answer.

When Jesus Christ was on earth for the 30 something years he ALWAYS told the elders what was what. He told them the sabbath wasn't supposed to be so strict. You can cook, but SHOULDNT work (not couldnt).

He said "Those with out sin shall cast the first stone." Meaning: Those without sin are the first to condemn. ( EVERYONE is a SINNER)

(Not on subject): Today people think in order to go to church and to be a church you need to have a building. WRONGO! Jesus said that those who have are part of his body are the church! (those that are believe in him)

FACTS THAT PROOVE THE BIBLE ISACCURATE
1. Every city mentioned does or has existed.
2. Chariots have been found at the bottom of the Red Sea along with a line of pocketed air. (what the hell are they doing down there? Try the story of Moses)
3. Journals written by roman soldiers have been found with relating stories of a man named Jesus of Nazareth.
4. Almost every king and tribe mentioned in the Bible has either been excavated or found in ancient writing.

THE REASON WHY A CONCORDANCE IS NEEDED:

The Bible has been translated from hebrew and Greek into more languages than I can count. Not only that but, the English language has like 30 versions of the bible. Text has been misinterpreted and the meaning twisted.
PLEASE- Be careful when you read the Bible.

That statement- "God said, 'slaves obey your masters for this is well pleasing unto the lord'" is used out of context. God also said "Masters treat your slaves with kindness". But this is used by Paul who wrote to a civilization that he was trying to convince that God was good.

These are books that were taken out after Martin Luther translated the bible for christians.
You will also notice the Catholic bible has more books than a Christians!!!!

Personally i believe that if god is supposed to be a figure of example and inspiration we would all be seen as equal individuals no matter our sexual preference. These "rules" about homosexuality are very discriminating. I think that we are no different and shouldn't be treated any differently.

my friend actually has a church that says that maybe God made gays so population could be kept in check so we don't overrun the world so nobody has enough food and what not. I've talked to a few people who have been very confused about the whole God + Gay thing, but I've never had a problem with it.

I mean, I've had problems with The Church (who doesn't?) but I have no problem with Christianity.

These are my views the matter: I don't believe that the Bible says that being gay is wrong. Think about it, would God create someone who was honestly attracted to the opposite sex if he himself deem it wrong to be that way? That's not what the Bible is saying.

Here is:

Leviticus 18:22-23:

22.You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. 23.You shall not have sexual relations with any animal and defile yourself with it, nor shall any woman give herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it: it is perversion.

Leviticus 20:13

13.If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death; their blood is upon them

Honestly, my opinion is that there is a distinct difference between having a homosexual ORIENTATION as a pose to having a homosexual LIFESTYLE. In God's eyes, matrimony was meant for one man and one woman. Believe it or not, I am a firm believer of this. HOWEVER, government does not have the right to deny marriage to anyone, as it is a right clearly stated. Even if the church would not be happy about it. But those things have changed time and time again, and it's still a battle more in government than in religion. You cannot honestly say that a church who does not welcome gays or treats them any differently than heterosexuals is a true church of God. Any person who deems themselves Christians in the least should be accepting of homosexuals, and treat them just as any other person. They would raise their children treating "gay" and the f-word similarly. But, unfortunately, that's not what we see today. We see churches who absolutely HATE gays and disprove everything about them. Slowly, the world is coming to terms with them.

I think the fact of the matter is this. Marriage is meant for a man and woman. This is the only natural way to produce offspring. While it should be legal for gay marriage, that does not necessarily make it morally correct. While sexual acts are seen in both types of marriages, it is accepted by God in only a male and female relationship, as is matrimony. Thus, God and gay do go together. But probably not the way you think at first.

Gays and God really dont get along and i doubt they ever will since homosexuality will never be considered as something inevitble in the eyes of most christians.
In the bible it states that homosexuality is wrong and should never be done but if you feel a certain way towards someone that you love then its not your fault you were born that way.
If there was a way that straight people and christians could understand that its not our choice to like someone of the same sex then maybe the church wouldn't shut homosexuals out.
Also christians need to realise that the bible was not written by God himself but by interpretations of what the prophets took from God's words.

But Catholicism is corrupt anyway.... not only because of this but because of many other reasons which i wont bore everryone with now..
