im a christian, and i always believe tht bein gay is not a sin, in the bible it speaks about homosexuals and hetersexuals bein in one with each other. I believe tht being gay is not a sin because God would not punish you for being yourself and for living your life the way you wish it to be lived. We only get one life right? so God should except the fact tht (which he/she does).

I hear alot about this issue. My theory is basically that God and gays can go together. Reason being... in the Bible it says, for instance, that no man shall cut his beard, no man shall get piercings, nor shall anyone be homosexual.

Yet, we do all three anyway. How absurd to think that a man who cuts his beard will go to hell! I am not disagreeing with the Bible, by any means. However, I do believe that we are all saved through Christ for we are all sinners and believers, yet we will become saints as we are immortal.

I hope that you can understand. Just try not to think about this issue, as it can be stressful. Continue to pray to God and maintain your religous faith!

um, im isaac, gay, catholic, well before we get to the bible lets look at simpler things, does god, and only god, have the power to create life? yes, is god kind, merciful, loving ect? yes, so why wood god create life, create it the way he wants it, then say, &quot;nup, buddy ur goin to hell&quot;....THAT DOESNT MAKE SENCE!!!! now to the bible, who wrote the bible? people, people with prejudices, yes inspired by the holy spirit, but still written by mortal, imperfect man, also the bible was written 2000 years ago or so, i can find many quotes where they commended slavery for crying out loud!!!!!i hope that in 2000 thousand years we have become a LITTLE more civilised!!!

Please don't label my life as disgusting. and i reject the notion that there is nothing ouside christianity but weeds. you speak of screwing up, of sinning, this you will always do because it is a sociological and psychological fact that you cannot change your sexuality or supress it, so long as you remain a chrisitan and chastise yourself for doing natural things, you will be forever unhappy.

I am a christian and gay. I believe that God will not send me to Hell for being gay. I believe that he made me gay and watches over and blesses me just like any heterosexual.

Okay I already ranted about this in the other forum, so I won't rant here but just lay it down. I'm someone who's probably going to take Theology and college and study my religion and strip it down a lot. I know, I'm different then most Christians in that I actually study the religion and by studying it I don't just use the bible. I read tons of books and everyone has tons of opinions on the religion. It is the most controversial religion and that's why there are like 10,000 sects.

I will say this. No matter what sect of Christianity you are, if you are truly Christian you acknowledge we have a loving God. So first of all God loves us and wants the best for us.

Second of all, no matter what form of Christianity you accept the teachings of Jesus as most important. Now if you are an evangelical and believe the world was created 6000 years ago and that every single word of the bible is true.. I will hold back my comments, but I will point out some things.

The old testament was written over a period of thousands of years. It's mostly full of metaphorical stories that didn't happen. The old testament contradicts itself like every other line. Need proof?? Read Genesis 1 and 2. Want to know something else?? Noah's arc was a story made up by Mesopatamian's(sp?) It never happened. But anyways to the point, the old testament is innaccurate and is a faulty text. I'm sure some of it is true, but it can't be regarded as accurate. The New Testament has more accuracy. The earliest manuscripts found date back to 60 A.D. at the latest. that means they were written within 60 years of Jesus's birth. They are more accurate.

Now, no where in the new testament did Jesus once preach about sex or marriage. Not once, never never never. Go find it and show me. He did say something about lust and disrespect to women once, but he never said anything about sex or marriage. Since we can take the new testament as way more accurate, we can say the old testament is not so accurate. Jesus loves the homosexuals and doesn't hate what they do either. That's all I can say, go and fuck your boyfriend and don't feel guilty about it.
