Unno, this is actually a very good question... I actually used to be a christian myself until i realized i was a lesbian. Once i knew for sure i decided to leave the church i was at and haven't gone back since. Although it was extremely hard to do, i didn't want to have this question looming over me constantly.
To sort of answer the question:
In the bible there are to sides to this question. One passage says "God loves all his children" and another says "If a man/woman lays with a man/woman in the way in which God did not intent he/she is committing sin." And sin in Gods eyes is bad, so there is a toss up in which to believe in.
Personally, I think it's up to the person. If they want to believe in God still, then good for them, and if not, that's fine too.

I personally believe in god, cause I believe that faith is important. I do believe that there had to be a reason that why were here and were here to fufill certain purposes. But you see my thing is I dont believe in the church. I believe that god isnt a person, rather an energy or a deity. You see mankind isnt perfect, and it wasnt god who magicallu bestowed upon us billions of copies of the bible, it was man. Man makes mistake, man can be both evil and good. It was 12 individuals whom wrote our bible and 10 other scriptures including Judas which are locked up in the vatican. honestly I think that people could have rewritten things, because man is capable. I do believe in the good and moral teachings of the bible, just not the harm and hurt that can come from it. I personally do go to church once in awhile, because I believe faith is important for person reguardless of religon. Because religon isnt about going to mass, mosque, etc. Or believing in Jesus or Buddha..its about finding the truth in oneself and I think everyone needs that to carry themselves and stand for something.

I am a catholic. I go to church, about once a month. I beleve most of what the church says. Not on the subject of being gay.

I think God loves us all. He would not of made us gay if he did not like it. We all did not choose to be gay, God made us like this.

So..he can not hate us. No way.

God made me who I am and he loves me as I am. God does not hate homosexuals at all. We are all created as we are meant to be. No one can speak for God but himself, but still. All is as God intended. If God did not want it, it would never have been.

Thats the reason why I call myself a creationist as opposed to Christian, is because the name Christian spawns so much hate and animosity and the Christians (a vast majority of them) have totally lost the point of what God was for and what he preached. They have become so focussed on "sin" and trying to "save our souls" that they have utterly lost just the idea of spreading love and kindness and joy. It pisses me off.

I use to be christian until last month when i admitted to myself that i am gay. When i realized i was gay i came out and quite alot of people said "You cant be gay and christian". To me this makes no sense because god made us perfect in every way. I find it impossible to belive that god (assuming he is real) would make us what he did not want us to be. Im now kinda like a wicca, but I prefer to call myself a 'user of chi' (for those of you who dont know what chi is, its body energy, similar to that of karma, but different) and to me the word god basicaly means good and the word devil means evil. Both words are just the same but shortened. For instantce the word god is the word good but its missing an o. If god hates homosexuality then why did he create it? Why didnt he just make us all strait? Wouldnt that of been better than making something that he would later regret he made? Sorry if i have offened anyone but these are only my views and answers to this question.
