I thought, even if its been a while since anyone posted, that I would tell you what I heard when I came out.

Me: Sam, I'm gay.
Sam (my best friend): Oh... *small pause* You wanna cookie for that?



That's the weirdest thing I heard when I came out. Mostly, I heard, "are you sure? you've not been with a girl, or a guy, so how do you know?"

Yeah...

Mum: Right, I'm okay with you experimenting but I wish it wasn't with her
Me: I'm not experimenting
Mum: *gives me a disbelieving this-conversation-is-over look*
Me: *sigh*
She still thinks it's a phase!

Me to two of my mates during a game of truths;
Mates: So, who do you fancy?
Me: *exchanges meaningful look with best mate who already knows* Um, my girlfriend.
Mate 1: Oh... wow
Mate 2: what, wait, no, wait, say that again?!
Me: My girlfriend
Mate 2: you have a girlfriend?
Me: yes
Mate 2: hang on, are you gay?
Me and other mates: buirst out laughing

Me to random mate:
Mate: how are you?
Me: yeah alright, my ex started talking to me again, so that's good.
Mate: you have an ex, who?
Me: A girl on my bus called Amy
Mate: hang on, wait, what?
Me: I'm gay
Mate: *silent* oh, cool. *pause* can we go join the others now?

And my personal favourite:
After it had got round the year, me talking to a random girl.
Girl: Is it true, that, well, you, went out with...
Me: Amy in C? Yeah.
Girl: Oh. Okay. Are you still together?
Me: No.
Girl: When was that?
Me: 11th of July to 22nd of November last year, not that I know the dates or anything *laughs*
Girl: Yeah *turns to go then turns back* One last question.
Me: *guesses what's coming* yeah?
Girl: Are you gay?
Me: *Bursts out laughing* yeah, I am.
Girl: Okay, cool.

Later in toilets, I got this reported back to me, girla nd my mate
Girl: Did you know that Abi's gay?
Mate: yeah
Girl: Are you still friends with her?
Mate: yeah
Girl: Are you?
Mate: no...
Girl: oh, ok. How far did she go with Amy.
Mate: *lying* I really don't know
Girl: okay.

Lol, my favourite has got to be the 'are you?' classic!

To a guy I really fancied, and who everyone thought was gay:

Me: I just thought you should know I'm gay.

Him: funny...

Me: I just thought you should know.

Weirdest phone call EVER! I mean, I was so scared at the time, but now me and friends just laugh about it, but I'm not friends with this guy anymore.

From a girly friend:

Me: I'm gay Sarah.

Sarah: OMG really, can I be your surrogate mother!?

That one made me laugh.

When i came out it was more like this:
I gave a note to my mom instead of telling her in person (Shyness) and she started crying and said something was wrong with my head. Now i have to see a psychiatrist =.= i clearly dont need one.

"Do you like me?" -Best girl friend
"You're a lesbian, that's so HOT!" -Some guy who overheard in the art room
"So there's no chance of us getting back together then?" -Ex-boyfriend
"What the fuck? You like girls? What about your boyfriend?"-Dad
"Don't worry, I'll always love you, but are you sure you're bisexual?"-Mom
"Wait, Lauren, what?"-Maths teacher who also overheard. I think I talk too loudly or something.
