Yeah, I've heard that before. The common phrase in my town is "I'm ok with gay people as long as they don't hit on me", as if they were so desirable that I couldn't help myself

my response from like all my friends that are girls when i told them i am bi was .... "oh ok ...when we were joking like we were lesbian you really were joking right or do u like me?"
It was kinda annoying cuz I don't like any of my friends that are girls like that...
my guy friends on the other hand were all like "that's ok that's really hott." which was also kinda annoying.

Well, I've only told one of my close friends and the school counsellor (i wanted info on a support group thingy in my town) but my freind took it really good... I told her and she just said 'oh, is that all??' and then hugged me.. Then she said most of the stuff mentioned in the original post in this thread: "So you like boys?/How long have you been gay?/who do you like?/I LOVE GAY PEOPLE!/LET'S GO SHOPPING!!/OMG<!! NOW YOU CAN HELP ME PICK OUT MY CLOTHES, OMGZZZ "... She was sooo cool about it all and omg, im sooo glad I opened up to her....

I was so shocked at how my best friend handled it, I don't remember what he said, but I remember the feeling that he just didn't mind one bit, which was very nice, considering how SOOO many guys are homophobes in my school. I had to assure him that I wouldn't hit on him though.... *sigh* hehe, nah, he's just a friend, but damn it, I'm not a total sex driven madman

The fist person I told was one of my guy friends and his responce was "are you really gay? and I was like yes and he was like "who is (and he named some famous wrestler)" and I said "who is what?" And he was like "yep, you're gay" Then he asked me if he can tell some of my other friends and I asked him not to. Then after a short silence he told me. "So, you probably cant wait till P.E....with the whole naked showering thing." And I just didn't reply (this was during science class and the teacher looked at us with a "you're interupting the class" look)

I've also gotten other reponce afterwards like:
- OMG...I love gay people!
- Oh...do you're parents know (and I say no).
- So you like men, that's cool.
- Are you bi, or gay?
- Who do you find hot?
- What do you think of me? (this was from a guy friend and I just changed the subject cuz he's actually really hot and I was too shy to say so)
- I still love you, and so does God. (this was from my best friend, she's a religious girl which I totaly respect)
- and several more...

"R u serious?" from a friend.
"alright Hi5, your straight gay!" she thought i was bi, then me and a friend of mine said that didnt make much sense. everything else is just random stuff. 1 dude yelled "UR GAY?" then he asked me if i wanted 2 go out with him.

when i told my friends they were all like: " awww, thats so cool, and i who thought u were hitting on me all the time" ( this was a girl) and so on, but this other girl said "phfio, i've been afraid u would rape me for the last six month"
and when i told my mum she said" ur body is going through a lot of changes, u might change ur mind in a couple of years"
like that is going to happen!
