"Yay,another round of throwing inanimate objects" he moaned.. Valent headed for the quad outside the dual building. He sat down under a massive oak and started to manipulate the cells of the tree, changing the colour then bring it to death.
Valent sat alone and spoke to himself as he usually did. "Nothing ever happens around here and im getting bored"

Ability: Teleporting (can also teleport others if holding them) also ability to fire white light to blind and disorinate enemys! Cna also heal others and himself. (HEALING IS IN HS FAMILY (think charmed!!!) (However Jake cannot teleport in the deep underworld) (AKA THE EVIL MUTANTS WORLD)
Appearance: Much like my picture. He wears tight jeans and shirts. expensive clothing
Background: Is openly gay in his hometown and to parents and veyr confident. (I MA KIDNA BASING JAKE ON MY TRAITS) was popular in his town and school until he found out he had powers (A YEAR AGO). He did this by teleporting his father (A WELL KNOWN HEALER) to safety when under attack! (WAS THEN SENT TO THIS SCHOOL) (IT IS GUNA BE HIS FIRST DAY) He is out going, funny, over the top, camp, he is not a virgin and did have a non ability boy friends (MORTAL) but dumped him when we left for this school. Is lookign forward to meeting a boy called Xavier who has a famous father well known for his ablity to control electricity. He loves drama and dancing and singing as othe hobbies and cnat wait to go to this school to met fellow boys with powers. He does liek to seem n control but hwen with his boy friend or a lover he will be deprnedant on them and will wan ot b loved and cared lol (JSUT LIEK ME IM AM SUCH A SOPPY ASS) heee howwver somtimes he can be vain and bitchy. i think this is enuf more cna be told later lol. He is not in full conrol of his powers, he can use hsi white light attack well! hoever hsi teleporting is very sub standard and can teleprot to incorrrect places and so on. (he once tryed ot teleport to his house but ended up in a toilet cubicle in a local cafe.)

At the same time Casey had a stranger in his room. Jake Glare entered the school... Looking at the vast opening hall. The white colour walls makign ti semm proper and business like. the over head sky lights made it seem up to date but in a old type building juxtaposed the feel of the room. Mizing old with new. The same went for the little office where the secreatry sat.... she was obvisoly bored. aimlesslet bashing at a high tech computer and sipping coffee from a novelty mug. She seemed jsut like a normal schoom secretary. She dressed proper and smart. has a certain perfume smell. but Jake thought soon changed when she semm to stare at jake! and said in a questioning tone...

"Ahhh Jake. Jake Glare. Son of John Glare. Has the power to teleport...oh and also fireing white light! Good morning!"

Jake was taken aback by this. he wondered how she knew this. she didnt have a file in ehr hand and wasent lookign at her computer. Then he remembered waht his dad said when he dropped him off,

"Just so you know the secreatry can look into people and see their abilitys.."

Well at that! Jake walked to the office and said with hsu normal camp voice,

"Hey there! I would love to have a power liek yours! That is so cool to read people and see their abilitys!!!"

The secreary was used ot the same sentence from all new studnets and smiled with the same smile,

"Yes isnt it jsut?" and smiled innocently. She then went on to say,

"Well as you are new to the school you will have a tour from a fellow student. As far as i know you are the first student we have had that has the ability to teleport.” ANyway you will ahve a tour for ma student aroudn the school. For now ehre is ur room key rom 198 you are nextot Xavier...

Tom then took the key sai thansk and looked for the lifts. he foudned them easily and wnt in one and wnet up to his floor ine first he then wneto t his room and next to him in 197 a boy came out,

When jake heard this he smiled... " i can amek white light to wow!! i can teleport and also heal!!!"

TOm then aid,, "Of coruse oyu can you are in the family of the family og healers wow!!!! Well anwayy i got to go to meet with my friends and see Xavier he si next door ot you there is his room, TOm pinted to the door 199. "I wil see oyu alter at lunch yes??? u cna sit net ot me if u want and jake repiled, "yes i will thanks tom.. bye "

James smiled as tom left to the left, he knew tom liekd ihm nwo he cud see he was gay also, Jake was rahter camp himself and ppl wud guess he a gay but he wud come out wasily bno problem if he had to... eh then went in hsi room and closd the door and got his bag ot unpack....

It had been a week since Mr. Balkner had told Rawl about Xander. It had also, coincidentally, been a week since Rawl had left his room. There was so much to think about; including the overwhelmingly bizarre possibility that Xander was an alien. But he musn't think about that.
As Rawl paced, and reflected, he heard a knock on his door.
"Who is it," he called in a depressed monotone.
"It's Tom," Rawl's visitor sounded sheepish. "Rawl are you ok? Please let me in."
Too lazy to think up an excuse Rawl opened his door and let Tom in.
"Hello Tom," Rawl spoke without even looking up at his visitor.
"Rawl you look awful," suddenly Tom sniffed something which suggested Rawl may have *forgotten* to shower. "I think you need some fixing up."

Tom helped Rawl clean up and get some food. The only time he wasn't helping Rawl was when he was showering (which he insisted he could manage on his own).
After being fixed up by Tom, Rawl suddenly remembered what Mr. Balkner had told him: 'I'd like to see you, Xander, and a couple of other students about this later.'
"Tom do you think you'd be able to come with me for a bit?" Rawl hoped he wasn't too late.

"I'm the volunteer here at the in-school clinic, Elliot, nice to meet yo-" Elliot however was cut out by a small beeping noise, reaching into his pocket and producing his cellphone he check out the message.

"Again?! Sorry, gotta run!" Elliot hurriedly said, making a beeline for the window and jumping out. Luckily for him it was open, on the first floor, and still summer.

Nearby was the cause of the call, dead tree.

"You really SHOULDN'T do that!" Elliot yelled as he ran towards the tree, and the boy beneath it. He attached his hands to the large oak and soon the cells of the tree began to flourish once more (some would say the tree looked healthier).

"If the gardener had caught you, well you'd be mulch!" Elliot said, winded by his healing. The gardener was a plant manipulator. A very angry one.

HERE WE GO

After Jake unpacked and got used to his room he then found out that he cud had a double bed and he thought maybe he might have a partner. Whilst pondering this he thought,

wow a boy I wonder if he is nice , but being on my own might be alright.

Jake looked at the clock and it was 11.55am. He should really go down to lunch. then he remembered that Tom his boy next door said he would take him to lunch. Just as Jake thought this, there was a knock at the door, Jake guessed who this was and said come in.

Tom came in and saw Jake lying on the bed, and he smiled and said,

"Hey there Jake... time for lunch you ready?"

Jake then said sexily,

"Yes I am tom tom! lets go and he walked straight past tom, paused looked back and winked at tom. Tom then laughed and closed the door and followed Jake and they went into the lift..

Jake was in the lift with Tom and he then came rather close to tom's face and said,

"So then where are we sitting at lunch and putting his hand on tom's shoulder and squeezing. Jake loved doing this. Tom then smiled and said back,

"Well with the usual boys, with Xavier, but we all call him Rawl, that is his nick name. There will also be his dorm mates the yare cool to, they are called Silas, a shape shifter and Zach, he can fly."

Jake was rather impressed by the sound of flying but he knew a few other people that didn’t go to this school that could do it. However he did know that no one here could teleport or has been teleported and this would be his centre of attraction also the ability to heal people I am sure would interest them. However of course we would not say how bad he was at teleporting I mean after all would he need it here?

Jake then answered, "That is cool! Are you sure they won't mind?" using a innocent and worried tone.

Tom smiled again, Jake liked his smile it was so sweet and inviting, "Of course they will not, I am sure they will take to you straight away Jake."

Before Jake could answer and say something to Tom, the lift door opened to reveal the hall way and opening hall where the secretary sat, she saw Jake come out of the lift with Tom and she said loudly and some people looked from her to Jake,

"I see you have met Tom! You found a friend really quick I see you are very social able."

All the people looked at Jake walked with Tom. Jake was obviously centre of attention so he mince walked a bit and looked at a few people and winked. Tom caught on with what he was doing and Jake wished he knew what he was thinking... Then Tom said,

"It down this corridor Jake"

Jake followed tom through this big door and then was faced with a large canteen. He looked around and saw loads of chairs and tables and people dotted around they all stopped and looked to see the new boy Jake,

"Some people whispered and look to each other."

Jake looked around taking everything in and looking at a few people back, he was looking for Xavier or Rawl… what a nickname.... Jake liked it

Tom the said,

"Follow me Jake,!"

Jake did and then found what he wanted Xavier was on a table with 8 chairs around it. There was him and three other people, he guessed from what Tom told him in the lift two of them must be Rawls roomies but he didn’t know which ones were. Then they looked at Jake, and Tom said,

"Hey guys! This is Jake... Jake Glare. He is the new boy. He is next to me and you, Rawl. Room 198."

Rawl looked at Jake as if looking into him, Jake looked directly back eh wanted to look at good as possible in front of Rawl, as he was the most popular guy around and if he was with him Jake could easily be the same. He then thought if any of them were gay, like Jake was and he did not mind admitting it if they asked, anyway Rawl and the other smiled and Rawl said in a lovely voice,

"Hey there Jake I am Xavier but everyone calls me Rawl. You can to if you like and he winked."

Jake was overcome with excitement he was well in if he played it cool. he then replied,

"Thanks Rawl." He smiled and winked back. Tom offered him a seat so he was opposite Rawl, and Jake sat down they all talked then Rawl said,

"So Jake, tell us about yourself."

Jake then smiled and began to reply,

"Well I am Jake... Jake Flame and I have my father called John Flame. he is the famous healer."

All of the boys raised their eye brows and Jake knew they knew his father and his surname that had got him a step closer to being part of it.

"My family is also in the group called the "FAMILY OF 5" as you known Xavier's I mean Rawl family founded this and are the first family we were the last to join about two months ago."

Rawl who knew this, nodded and smiled and said,

"Yes you are! We have annual meetings the family of 5 group well our parents do anyway."

Jake smiled back flirtatiously and said,

"Yes Ha ha we will soon! Anyway yes so the 5 most powerful families together. Anyway yes so I am here because I found out about my powers a year ago because I saved my dad from being killed by a mutant by teleporting him back to safety."

Jake paused waiting for a reaction and by hell did he get one,

Rawls two friends looked at each other and said,

"Wow you can teleport, no one here can do that you are the first I know. WOW!! that is rare."

Tom smiled at this as he already knew and Rawl said,

"Wow, teleportation, you could get me out of a sticky situation then..." he laughed and his friends did.

Jake just smiled and wondered, is he Gay? he wasn’t to sure, Rawl did look rather manly and fit but Jake did not know and if he was he would by golly have a boyfriend, Jake could never get in with him...

Jake the carried on and said, "Well anyway, yes I can also heal people and also shoot white light which can blind or disorientate enemies. I found out my powers a year ago and my Dad sent me to this school. I did have a boyfriend, a mortal, called James he was so nice but I had to let him go because of my powers and this school. However I did not mind because I found out he was tow timing on me but t be honest I did not care because it was an open relationship anyway. But no I think I would like commitment even though I do not look like I do and am like that, when u get to know me beta you will see more of me. Anyway yes so now I am at this school and I have to have private lessons for my teleportation as there is only one teacher who can teleport in all of our kind and he has been sent in to teach me. Anyway yes so I like performing arts, singing , dancing and so on. I am outgoing, bubbly, caring loud, over the top dramatic and rather camp."

All of the boys laughed. Jake was glad, he was just about to carry on when, Rawl said,

"I wish I could teleport, that would be great and you I am sorry about your boyfriend, I am sure you could get better." He looked into Jakes eyes.

Jake was surprised by this and he smiled back and he could not help feeling good. He then went on to say,

"Yes so I am openly gay and I have been for 3 years I came out in year 9 and then to my parents it was alright. I do not mind talking about this I am very open and confident. Ummmm I like club music and stuff like that and anything with a good beat. I am glad I am at this school because I can meet new people and be with people similar to me. I guess that is it for now..."

Rawl then replied,

"Well you have a lot to say for yourself. I like that."

The other boys then said,

"Yeah that is cool. Good to know about you."

Then the boy on the right of Rawl, who had blonde hair and a cute, spotless face said,

"I am Zach. I can fly." he laughed

Jake smiled back and the other boy then said,

"I am Silas I can shape shift."

Jake then replied,

"Wow that is cool."

Jake did not feel hungry so he did not eat, however the other ate and they all chatted for a while about stuff then towards the last 10 minutes of the lunchtime Rawl sat up and said,

" I am nipping back up to my dorm room to get some stuff for ability history lesson, I haven’t got my books. Does someone want to give me a hand."

Jake knew this was his time. He literally leapt off his seat like a jack in the box shooting out of the box and said excited,

" I will help you I mean errrrrrrrr it will be good to see your room, see if it is like mine."

It was a lame excuse but I worked, Rawl smiled and then said alright see you guys later he then followed Rawl towards the lift."

Rawl pressed the button and turned to Jake and said,

"You go first."

Jake did and Rawl followed the lift door closed with a clang.

Rawl then seemed to kind of deflate as if he was upset or thinking. Jake thought maybe something was wrong or something and he said, whilst putting his hand on Rawls shoulder,

"Are you alright, what is wrong are you upset?"

Rawl looked into Jakes eyes and said,

"Well kind of there is this boy and...."

When Jake heard this he thought oh great he got a boy friend, I bet Rawl is gay and Jake aint going to get him or be with him or anything! even friends.... anyway he immediately chimed back in when Rawl said

Rawl said, ....the teacher thinks he might be an alien and I don’t know what to think I have been troubled by this please do not tell anyone. I am only telling you because you seem good to trust."

Jake liked this and said whilst squeezing Rawl shoulder,

"It is fine, you can talk to me anytime I can understand I have been through stuff that is bad I am sure I will tell you about it I tell most people I do not mind. I am very open about my life I think it is good to I don’t really get upset or depressed. But anyway you can talk to me anytime Rawl ok?"

Rawl then looked into Jakes eyes and there seemed to be a connection all of a sudden it was weird like a cable running electricity. It seemed that Rawl and Jake were connecting.


Rawl then replied,

"Thanks for understanding, I wish I could tell more people, he then had a tear in his eye.

Jake immediately said,
"Ohhhh Rawl do not cry and embraced him he did not think about his feeling about Rawl he just hugged him in a caring way he wasn’t a total bitch all the time he had feeling to and hopefully one day Rawl would see the true Jake.

Rawl didn’t not seem to mind as he embraced Jake and he cried into him. It was fine they looked just like two buddies comforting. Then the lift door stopped and opened on to their floor.

Luckily no one was on the floor and with an arm around Rawl he took him to his room and Rawl looked to Jake and said,

"Thanks for understanding I feel like you know what I feel."

Jake smiled and then said,

"It fine. You can talk to me anytime, just knock on my door and I got a spare bed and a double bed so if u ever want to stay overnight if you upset or got problem I am here. I am a ice person you know sometimes!"

This seemed to make Rawl more lighter and happier and he then said,

"Well thanks Tom I will see you in a minute once I get my things and get changed. Can you help me carry it?"

Jake smiled and said happily,

"For you? Of Course and he went in HIS room and shut the door."

17th December - 9:00PM

Rawl had planned on rushing over to Mr. Balkner's office and accepting the teachers offer, but time had finally caught up with him: Mr Balkner and a few other teachers had already set off on an expedition to stop a covert attack being made by The Way.
The bad news didn't end there. Xander was now under constant survelliance. Vistors were strictly off limits. Ostracising Xander from Rawl's room was a big enough blow, but absolutely no contact was too much for Rawl.
Rawl returned to his room without another word to his neighbour, Tom. He locked himself up in his room and practiced his aiming skills with electricity. Rawl was going to help protect Xander, with or without Mr. Balkner's help.

18th December - 12:30PM

Rawl didn't know what had just happened: Was he high?
Why had he just told this bizarre stranger all about Xander? One thing was sure, he was keeping his distance from this Jake guy. Clearly he had some power over peoples emotions... What's more he seemed to be hitting on Rawl, an action which made his stomach contort.

Several minutes had passed since the elevator incident, now Rawl was feeling in top form: back to his normal self.
He strode out into the hallway with confidence. Not unexpectedly Jake was waiting for him. He was leaning against the wall directly to the left of Rawl. Naturally Rawl didn't noticed him at first, but after taking several paces down the hall he became aware of a boy pacing astride him.
"Oh, hey Jake," Rawl said casually. "What class have you got now?"
Jake disappeared into mid air. Rawl looked around, dazzled. Where had Jake gone? In no way upset about being so abruptly alone, Rawl continued down the hall towards his Calculus class: today he had a test on Integration.
He found his seat quickly and glanced around the room for any sign of the mysterious new boy. Suddenly the desk next to Rawl, which he could have sworn was empty a second ago, was occupied.
"Very funny," Rawl said sarcastically. "Trying out your teleporting tricks I see?'
"Impressed?" Jake teased. Rawl laughed and focused his attention towards the front of the class.
"I didn't know you were in my Calculus class," Rawl continued the conversation without direct eye contact. Ms. Dragoon, Rawl's math teacher, began handing out the test papers: regular chatter ceased.
"I'm not," whispered Jake. Rawl allowed himself to glance at Jake, he was giggling.
"You're an idiot, get out!" Rawl did not understand this boy one bit.
"Xavier, be quiet," she glanced at Rawl. "And who are you talking to?"
That slipperly bugger had teleported away.
Rawl decided this kid might just be worth his time.

HERE WE GO!! HEEHEHE LOL ILL TRY TO KEEP IT SHORTER LOL HAAA TRY!

Jake was in his dorm room and was laughing out loud to himself. It was so funny what he did to Rawl before. Jake was sure that Rawl was impressed, I mean he must of been he would have never seen anyone teleport before. But he didn’t know that he could teleport other people too.... Jake smiled in the mirror as he knew that soon Rawl would find out. Of course Jake was not going to tell him that before he teleported to his class, even though he wanted to and he thought it in his mind he ended up in the canteen and had to try again to get there. Of course he was not going to tell Rawl about his inaccuracy in his teleporting....hehe

Anyway Jake was off the timetable for this day as he was new so he could settle. He knew that dinner was at 5.30 pm and he would make sure he would sit next to Rawl. Jake felt sorry for Rawl that he had that problem but as also surprised that he broke down in front of him and then was fine after. Jake must have had an effect on him. This made Jake smile.

Jake was only hitting on him to see what he was like, he thought maybe he should not anymore and just be friends but somehow he knew he could not.

Whilst pondering this he looked at the clock and it was coming up to 2pm that would mean the next lesson for all the students and they would finish the day at 4.30 or 5pm. So Jake decided to take a shower. He stripped off, but naked and walked into the bathroom, he opened up the glass door and went in the shower. He then turned it on and felt the water on him and let it go on his face. The power of it was very good and then he got some shampoo and washed his hair, he had to be a fresh as possible to eat tonight; he did not want to look like a scruff and smell like one to.

Anyway he then got the body soap and washed all over and also washed his bits his pubic hairs all bubbly and wet and then he stopped the shower. He then looked into the wall mirror and looked at his body and wondered if it would be good for Rawl or for anyone. He might look confident but inside he can sometimes be rather conscious of himself. Sometimes, anyway. He then dried himself and styled his hair. He then picked out some good clothes he put on a pair of Black jeans and a pink shirt. It might be weird to wear but it fitted him and he liked it. Then he put on a pair of new shoes he bought and then decided to go and look around outside the school.

He was taking the lift down and he looked at the clock in the lift and it was 3.15 pm and then he walked into the empty opening hall and it was empty it felt weird no young boys walking around and talking, it felt well...empty. Even the secretary wasn’t there, so he decided to go to the main doors which lead outside and he opened them.

A wave of fresh air suddenly hit Jake and he hug himself he then looked around and saw massive land with fields and paths and woods in the distance. Jake then strode out and walked through the central path and walked down looking around at the view and so on.....

(20 minutes later)

Jake was still walking but was into the wood he was on the outskirts when he heard a rustling, he stopped, looked around, he saw nothing so he carried on but then he heard it again, he stopped this time a sense of suspicion and caution entered Jakes mind, there must be something there. He waited but nothing happened. He decided he should really leave the wood and when he was just about to turn back, something did come out.

Jake did not know what it was, he just froze, shock and fear came over him like a storm cloud in the sky and he could not think. It was the most ugliest creature he had ever seen, he had never see anything like it, he thought that teleporting his father from an assassin was bad and scary enough but this was beyond that. It has a weird colour, it was kind of green but then it changed to red. It looked like something that was deeply mutated, it did have some shape he could decipher it looked like it had be based upon a four legged creature but when you saw his mouth that kind of took that picture away of a nice cat or a cute dog. Its fangs shone, with the glistening saliva on them and it was making noises, moaning or something, it then took a step forward towards Jake. Jake tried to move but he could not, his mind was screaming to move, but his body would not obey. His mouth would not open to scream it was like locked in is state and impossible to move. It then stopped and stiffened and then seemed to say something, a word and audible word, and it made Jake shudder,

The monster said, "Ffffffffooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooodddddddddddd"

It then literally leapt at Jake, Jake screamed he did not know what to do, the monster was closing in a few more seconds and it would be on Jake eating him, It was just about to jump on him when he, screamed out two words so loud, it seemed to make the ground shake,

“ENTRANCE HALL!"

He then vanished in a weird blue light, and the monster skulked back to where it came from, unnourished and hungry.

Jake then appeared to be in the toilets, as usual his accuracy let him down, he did not know what to do, and he just ran out, flustered and distraught, shock coming over him.

He ran into the open hall and there was Rawl who was just coming out of a class he had must of stayed behind, Jake ran to him and, Rawl saw him looked shocked as Jake ran to Rawl and feel into him and started crying hysterically, he could not make sense of what Jake was saying, he did not know what to do, all he could do was snatch words of what he was saying,

"Oh my god!.........monster...........monster..........woods........Oh my god!"

Jake was literally shaking like a leaf, Rawl knew it wasn’t the time to be dismissive of him and decided to embrace him and said softly but firmly,

"Jake! Jake! Calm down what is wrong? I do not understand?"

Jake did not seem to listen but just cried into Rawl and was still shaking uncontrollably, this was obviously a side Rawl hadn’t seen. But he must not think like that, but he could not help thinking.

Jake then said something which was shocking,

"A monster was outside, outside the wood, I could have died... I did not know what to do... Rawl.....I am so sorry.... then he broke down again and more inaudible words were being said,

Rawl wondered why Jake apologised and then decided that they could not be here as people would be coming soon and people would wonder so he led Jake still crying and shaking into a lift and jus comforted him in silence. He then opened up his dorm room and they went in, he closed the door and locked it. He did hope no one saw them, but then again that did not matter, then Rawl looked into Jake's eyes and saw fear in them, he then said,

"Jake.....what is wrong? Tell me please? From the beginning...do not worry I am here."

He then though oh my god why did I say that? he did not mean to but it just slipped out as if he was MEANT to say that.... he quickly forgot about it and waited for Jake to reply,

Jake then looked to Rawl and said,

"Rawl, I did not have any lessons today, so I had a shower and then decided to go outside, I walked to far went into the wood, and then...then...."

Rawl could see he did not know what to say to Jake, but Rawl had a very good idea of what Jake might say next. Jake then said,

"A monster...it was ugly and it crept and then said a word, it said food.... Rawl it was going to kill me...."

Jake started crying again.

Rawl was so surprised by how Jake was acting he did not seem to be like this at all. Rawl paused and thought what to say and what to do....

Rawl was annoyed. This Jake kid seemed to think they were friends. All Rawl wanted to do was think about Xander and the future threats his predicament entailed. Jake's near death experiences could be dealt with by someone else as far as he was concerned.
But since the boy was before him now, crying like a baby, Rawl decided to be somewhat kind. It was Jake's first day after all.
'It's okay Jake...' Rawl wasn't good at the whole "comforting" thing. 'Look I think you'd better go see one of the teachers about that er.. What did you say you saw again?'
'Mo-mo-monster,' Jake stuttered.
'Oh, yeah. Umm well I'm sure the teachers will help you out with all that..'
Rawl ushered Jake out of his room and quickly directed him down the corridors. He stopped at the first Teachers office, knocked, and walked away - leaving Jake to fend for himself.
As Rawl walked down the corridor he heard the incredulous tones of some unsuspecting teacher. He smiled and sped up.

NEXT BIT!!

Jake was so annoyed. He did not believe Rawl just blew him off....literally... Jake would say something to him later. Jake thought, maybe he should not be like this to Rawl I mean he had his own problems, unless....he "HELPED" Rawl with his little predicament...

Anyway he was now in a teachers office and he was talking to him about what he saw, he now found out this teacher was called, Mr.Jenson, the teacher assigned for his teleporting ability. He told the teacher everything, now calmed down and relaxed was told what he saw, the teacher smiled when he told him and said monster, the teacher said,

"Jake. That was no monster. It was a mutant, I am surprised it is at the edge of the wood though it knows it is defenceless when near our fields.

Jake wondered how I could be a mutant I was more like....an ALIEN...

Jake immediately blurted out something,

"Oh my God! I could have been an alien. I know it could have been."

Whilst he said this, he thought of what Rawl said about his friend Xander, that he could be an alien that could change forms. Then maybe it might not have been an alien, the thing that Jake saw did not shape shift at all.

The teacher's smile then all of a sudden turned grim, he then said,

"Jake. I know you are new to this but as you’re father is in the "Family of 5" and you think you might have seen one of these creatures so I think you need to know."

The teacher told him everything from the gang of mutants, The Way, to how a few teachers had set off on an expedition to stop a covert attack by the gang. He also said how this boy, Xander was in quarantine in his dorm room and no visitors were allowed.

This made Jake think about what Rawl said, and he knew that Rawl would known about this and also would be trying to help Xander. But he had to warn him, he had to.

Whilst he was thinking this the teacher said,

"What you saw Jake... Could well of been one of them but it must of gone the wrong way. Jake I know this sound’s stupid, but could you take me to where you found this creature...

Jake was taken aback by what Mr. Jenson said, he wanted Jake to go back with him to where he almost got killed by that weird creature. He replied in a rude way,

"I am sorry? You want..ME...to take you there? We will just get killed!"

The teacher did not relent and just said,

"Jake you will not be killed for many reasons, one....I am there, two....you can teleport out anytime, three....you have an ability to blind and disorientate the enemy. Jake you will be fine, but we need to go now and I need to notify the staffs that are out now looking around,

Jake expected Mr. Jenson to get out a mobile phone but instead he spoke out loud and said,

"Mrs. Jacob. Mrs. Jacob. Are you there?"

There was a short pause as if he was waiting for a reply and he seemed to get one, expect Jake could not hear it, he then immediately knew that Mr. Jenson could send messages through his mind and also receive them. Mr. Jenson then said,
“Well I have some news, there was a mutant that was near our open grounds, and our new student Jake Flame came upon this creature and it attacked him, however he teleported away back to school. I am going with him to check this out. Where are you? Any updates?
There was a longer pause and Jake just waited patiently not wanting to interrupt what was happening, however he thought about what Rawl now thought of him, it was obvious that Rawl hated him, or dis-liked him anyway. However he should have been a bit nicer. Jake would tell him what he thought later. However this was immediately put out of his mind when Mr. Jenson spoke to him and said,
“Jake....the teachers cannot aid us as they are way out in the wood and would not be there in time. However they have given me permission to go with you to where you met this monster however we go to get pictures and gather information if it becomes hostile we teleport back to the school immediately.”
Jake nodded, he didn’t know what to think, he was nervous but then again he was more confident as he with someone.
Mr. Jenson then took out a camera that looked rather high tech and he said,
“This is a camera that can not only take a picture but also look inside of the person or thing and show their abilities, strengths and weaknesses. The bad thing is it takes about 10 seconds to do the picture and in that 10 seconds we could be attacked, hurt or even killed. Are you willing to take the risk?”
Jakes confidence faltered at this point ten seconds... it would have took about 3 seconds for the monster to get to Jake when he was on his own. He said,
“That is a long time I mean...what would we do if it attacked?”
Mr. Jenson seemed to be expecting that question and said,
“Well we would have to leave immediately without a picture.”
Jake protested,
“But then there would be no point in going then! We would have to stay!”
Mr. Jenson shook his head and said,
“No! We follow instructions. Are you ready?”
Jake knew there was no point arguing and said,
“Yes!”
Mr. Jenson then nodded and put his hand on Jake’s shoulder and then Jake knew what he had to do, he said,
“Outside the wood”
They disappeared and then reappeared INSIDE the wood,
Mr. Jenson smiled and said, “So I can see you aren’t as accurate as you would like to be.”
Jake didn’t answer he felt stupid, he looked around and he could see the green fields and the path where he walked but it was about 5 minutes walk away. He then said,
“It was over there that I saw the monster”
Mr. Jenson nodded and said,
“Right well maybe we should walk over there then...”
But before they could they heard rustling, they both stopped and Jake said,
“Oh great it must have been expecting us...”
Jake made it sound humorous but it wasn’t like that at all. Mr. Jenson said,
“Well we are going to have to do it here.”
Jake readied himself and then he saw it again, however this time it changed colour it was black, and it just looked at Jake and then looked to Mr. Jenson who look bewildered and shocked, but clicked the button on the camera.
The monster seemed to smile, demonically and said another few words,
“Xander...Xander is us.”
Then it leapt at Jake, as he knew it would do, Mr. Jenson knew it would be to quick before the picture would be taken he shouted at Jake,
“Go! Now!”
But Jake didn’t he was so shocked by what it said that Xander, Xander was them? He then readied himself and he raising is hand making a light ball, and thrust it at the fiend, it blinded it for a short time and gave enough time for the camera to click then Mr. Jenson grabbed Jakes arm and shouted,
“MY OFFICE!!!!!”
They were in his office and he was pacing he was half angry but half happy that they got the picture, he said,
“I told you to go! I know we got the picture now but I will get in so much trouble if they find out!”
Jake just said,
“Look I got to go and do something and he just ran out. He knew we could not teleport to where he wanted, because if he went to the wrong place, due to his inaccuracy, he would run out of time. So he ran into the lift and pressed the button onto the floor where Xander was being kept. He walked out and he saw just as he expected Rawl was walking down the corridor towards Xander room which surprisingly was not under surveillance, Rawl obviously timed this right. Jake ran at Rawl and Rawl obviously was surprised and before he could react to Jake, Jake took him to the floor and shouted,
“Rawl. Do not go in! Do not! Xander’s an alien, Xander’s a mutant, a whatever, I went to see the monster with my teleporting teacher and it said, Xander is us! Rawl please believe me.”
However this did not work Rawl’s eyes seemed to change and he used all his strength to thrust Jake off him so he was on top of Jake and he said,
“Jake is this some kind of joke? Can you not see I do not like you! I hate you! I do not want you! Deal with it! How dare you include him on this.”
Jake expected him to hurt him with is electricity but instead he smacked him in the face with his fist.
He then got up and said,
“Next time I will not use my fists”
Jake got angry immediately and stood up holding his mouth and screamed,
“You stupid twat! I am not lying! I am not doing this because I want you! I am doing this for your own good because I know everything! My teacher told me! I know about Xander being quarantined, teachers searching for, The Way. I know it all. I am not using Xander to get to you. Can’t you get that into your thick skull!?”
Rawl was surprised by his rage, he could see Jake was livid, he was literally shaking with anger, then Rawl got defensive and said,
“I warned you Jake. Do not push me.”
Jake didn’t seem to listen and carried on,
“Oh shut up Rawl. You think you are right! Go ahead go in there! Go on! It’s a one way road to be killed or hurt! Go on I hope you do! I hate you!”
Jakes eyes flickered and Rawl reacted immediately and got his battery out, Jake laughed,
“Look at you. You have to use a battery to get your power, you aren’t going to have time to do that when you go in there with Xander...are you!!”
Before Rawl could shoot his electricity, Jake shouted,
“Dorm room!”
He disappeared and Rawl was alone in the corridor.
