QUOTE: I am really disgusted when ppl say that bisexuals are simply "young and confused" ...thank god for macaroni ..... I'm bisexual and I don't think love is gender specific....I never had the guts to be promiscous so I guess the stereotype that were all tarts is out I think true bisexuality is when you feel u can really truly love the person (regardless of gender) that ur attracted to....and its not just lust or desire.... I think its when u can say in a relationship (with either a boy or a girl) that you've found your knight in shining armor.....and I don't think are dual sexuality makes us greedy....just really lucky...because sometimes we get to be the Knight Anyway there's my two bits......

Oh! Hell no, we are just a er (tarty?) as straight people! There is no difference, but I think Gays and Bis might be a little more romantic and passionate.

wow every said what i wanted to say.......hm, lesse, can i say anything that makes an difference? just throwing this out there
i happen to be bi, and i' ve defined: greedy, selfish, wierd, slutty, a whore, etc.
i don't think it matters what gender of person you go out with, as long as you love and appreciate them. then again, there are people, who are bi, but only define themselves as bi, cuz they mildly (bad choice of words??) like the other gender. for exemple, i LOVE girls, but i also like guys, i like everything about guys, except for some reason.....the thought of having sex with guys scare me *shivers*
where as, girls.......um....all the ones i've gone out where just going out cuz they were curious, and i'd say, those kinds of people are tarts (not to bring my personal life into this....)
but the kind of people who only go out with the a person, to lead them on, or mearly because they are curious, tend to be, uh, scum. not ALL are, but, uh, ex.
girls my age would make out with other girls, cuz guys find it hot, and it's like a ticket to being popular (or something), then they say 'oh, ya, that's so gay' or 'ew, you're so gay' which just pisses me off to no end.... hehe, sorry for that rant -.-'
p.s.sorry if i offended anyone...

some quick reaffirmation of definitions
heterosexuality is attraction to the opposite sex
homosexuality is attraction to the same sex
bisexuality is attraction to both sexes
pansexuality is attraction to aesthetic-al quality in a person REGARDLESS of sex or normal boundaries between sexes, that means they can be attracted to any human but may not mean they have to ever be attracted to a MTF or FTM person
the whole sexuality debate is misguided, labeling people on something that is completely different from person to person society to society will rarely work
so applying a generalisation to something that has little legs to stand on in the first place is foolish
in every person there is a scale between straight and gay
in every person there is a scale between conforming to gender boundaries and not
the scale is different in everyone and the labels simply dont stick, they only stick because people are rarely honest (unsurprisingly) when defining their sexuality, plus very people explore themselves that deeply anyway

I would agree that bisexual people are perhaps confused about whom they want. But not greedy.
Although the idea of a bisexual person stating, he was bi, was solely so he could have a girlfriend and a boyfriend at the same time. Is rather ridiculous.
And I did have to explain that, quite obviously, it didn't work like that.
But yeah, veered slightly off topic then xD
Id say it's a stage most people have before realising they are straight or indeed gay. But I don't think you can go throughout your entire life bisexual.
If you settle down with someone of the same sex, your gay.
If you settle down with someone of the opposite sex, your straight.
Simple as ^^.
You cant like both genders later on in life. Its just, impossible!
Or atleast, to an old fashioned person like me.
^.^

About 2 years ago I came to the conclusion that I was bisexual. I was physically and emotionally attracted to both guys and girls... I didn't know why and I didn't get it. The only person I told was my closest friend (who happened to be out as bisexual). She told me that she understood exactly how i felt. I felt ready to come out. A year passes and I finally build up the courage to tell my closest friends... at first they accepted me... but within a year most of them began to question me or shortcut my sexual orientation with the word "gay." I obviously have no problem with gay people but it drove me insane that they wouldn't take the time to say a few more syllables out of respect for my sexual orientation.
Anyway, backtracking a little, my friend who claimed she was bisexual later came out as a full Lesbian. I was completely stunned and felt pretty betrayed that I shared so much with someone who just lied to me. (She said she knew she was a lesbian the whole time but wanted to "test the water" with the claim that she was bisexual" . That's about when I began to question myself... whether I was bisexual or straight and growing up with messed up hormones or maybe just "gay in denial."
My aunt and older brother even began prodding me with the question stick, asking me if I was sure I wasn't gay. -_- oh, how i despise that question. Honestly, I was confident in my bisexuality until people began putting social pressures on me. As of now, I don't know if I'll swing one way or another and I understand the confusion that other people have. I don't understand myself and I don't expect anyone else to. I'd loving being attracted to only one gender, but I can't honestly say I am at the moment... but whatever happens happens.
Ohhh, and I'm a virgin who plans on keeping it that way until I find someone I really give a crap about. So I'm pretty sure I'm not just out for sex haha...

QUOTE: And I'm only attracted to certain boys and certain girls
I agree, I think a lot of bisexuals are just attacted to certain people. I for one fall for someone because of the sort of person they r, regardless of what body they're in.

i think it has to do with how much someone is attracted to their own gender/the other gender. i am bisexual because i haven't noticed too much of an imbalance in the amount i am attracted to boys or girls, but i'm sure there are many bisexuals who feel like they are more attracted to their own gender and the same with the other gender. if there are one or two or three people of the opposite gender that attract you, you're probably still gay, but too much beyond that and you are probably bisexual.
then again, labels don't explain much except the stereotypes, so there's little point to having such narrow thinking.
