they do what they want, i personally don't mind that much, im actually kind of happy for them that they have somebody. but as of proper etiquette and mannerisms, i don't think they should be making out in public, because altho i don't mind, there's other people who do.

and oh yeah, at (high) school i think its ok, or any more adult environment, but like you definitely should not do it in a family type surrounding with kids and what not (but then again all that shit is on tv anyways)

Personally I do not see this as a problem. No one should be telling us that gays and lesbians cant kiss in public, or that it is wrong and disturbing. Oh wait, but sadly some people do…. And who are these people saying that, no other then the anti - gay heterosexuals. Why is it that people think it is wrong to see two girls or two guys kissing in public, personally I think it is kinda hot. If a straight couple can kiss each other in public then why cant a gay couple, oh, is it cuz Jesus said so, or god, or the bible. Well just to let all you queer bashing heterosexuals know, no where in the bible does it say that you cant be gay or lesbian. It only states that two people of the same sex should not get married. I guess it’s a good thing that I am atheist. Anyways if straight people get to kiss each other in public without anyone giving them dirty looks and bias comments, then so should gay.

no offense to people, i like the affectionate kiss for someone you love, but not everyone wants to see sloppy, sexual hinting, making out on the street. I think it's appropriate for the public if your own mother could be there and not feel disgusted, but if it's so sexual that you'd be ashamed if a relative saw you like that, that's when people should take it to the bedroom. Whether it's gay, lesbian, or straight couples, people should know when it's going a bit too far for the public eye. Other than that, kiss away!

Why do people offensive? Is it because they feel jealous, or because they feel uncomfortable? If it's the former, then they can frankly bugger off. If it's the latter, then desensitising people to PDAs would do society a favour.

I particularly cannot stand the &quot;I don't mind gayz as long as they're not gay near me&quot; from people that french kiss for 30+ minutes at discos... It's homophobia by another name trying to pass off as ok.

but sometimes love can be sooo.. like really.. great,, that u dont care where u kiss and stuff.... personally i dont care what people think of me and what im doing in public.. it's my body.. and it's my bf.. and we can do what ever we want in public.. as long as it's civiliced...

A quick, affectionate kiss is nothing that bothers me. Holding hands is also great in public. Hugs are fine as well (so long as there is no thrusting action going on). At any rate, anything more than just a peck on the cheek or quick kiss on the lips is too much for the public, in my opinion. This goes for two guys, two girls, or a girl and a guy.

no matter their orientation people do it in public and will do it all the time, as much as it may disgustt some people theres not really much you can do about it due to it being public domain,
personally i dont really have a problem with it, i just tend to ignore it !

We talked about this in one of my english lessons before i left to go on holiday. i forget how it came up but i remember a girl in my class saying that it's ok for straight couples to kiss in public but not gay couples.
I personaly took this offencivly as i find it just as uncomfortable being around anyone exchanging anything more than a peck and it was rather homophobic on top of that.
I then went into a rant if straight couples were a minority how would she feel if i'd made that statement.
So basicly what I'm trying to say is that gays and straights should be able to kiss in public if they wish but i'd rather you all didn't! Keep that sort of thing private.
