Well, I guess I've known I was gay (or at least 'different' for as long as I can remember. I suppose I first realized exactly what was different around age 12 or 13. I first came out to my parents and a few friends last year (when I was 15) and haven't looked back since.

I began questioning myself after watching Will and Grace and being facinated by the character of Will: at that point, I liked Jack because I laughed at him more, but I was young (11 or 12). It hadn't occured to me that you could be gay without being so over the top. At the age of thirteen, I was molestered by a guy my age under a desk in art. Being young and stimulated, I touched him back. That carried on until the end of November 2003, when he left school for Wales (may he rot there: he was not a nice guy), having started in September of 2002. When I was fourteen, I came out to my friends in the Summer or Spring of 2004.

So, that's my story, in brief.

I came out right after i turned 14. As for when i figured out i was gay...that is a bit more complicated. Probly i started wondering about it around 12...but then i went through some bullshit of trying to convence myself i wasnt......like...at one point i got a gf (trust me....that doesnt work). Anyways.....ya

I first fancied a guy at about 12/13, and that was the point where I considered the possibility of being gay. I wrestled with the idea for a long time after that.

The first time I ever told somebody I was gay was 5 months ago - I was (and still am) 18. I love all you guys for being out at an age that I was never able to be - in retrospect, I would have loved it (though it may have brought its own problems).

Despite this, I would say to anyone reading this - DON'T COME OUT 'TILL YOU'RE READY!

18 was the age for me - despite my regrets to the contrary, everything was set up for it to happen, and it wouldn't have worked out as well for me had I come out prematurely. If this had occurred at an earlier age, I would have. You should never feel pressured to come out because other people of a similar age have - (WARNIING CLICHE AHEAD) we all come to these things in our own time.

I can't stress this point enough.

I was definitely not ready to come out, in retrospect. Nonetheless, I somehow survived. However, I probably would want to do it all differently.

I also came out to the first person like 5 months ago, when I was 17. I felt close enough with him and wanted to know his opinion . It was all good. I didn't continue then tho, so I'm still only out to one person.
This summer-holiday I want to come out to my friends and parents. And when I start university after summer I want to be out from the start. I think I feel ready but it just I feel its good to come out at that time.

I came out over a year ago when i just turned 18 to my best mate when i was really drunk in my parents house (and they over heard). but i guess i can remember fancying lads when i was 10/11 but i always pretended it wasnt true, and did my best to hide it sleeping with girls and the such like but its just easier coming out

Thats basically the same with me too (tho I havent slept with any girls either) but yea, coming out is better! I have probs fancied boys since I was about 5 or 6 years old -- and thats truth. I started wondering around 13 or 14, but I never really thought about it until I was 15 when my best friend was trying to find out who I liked cause she could tell I was hiding something. I told her I was unsure about my sexuality and then I really started questioning myself. About a week later I came out to her.
