so im sure someones posted this before, but im new and was just wondering. if given the choice, would you rather be straight or gay? cause im at this point where i really wish i was straight-but im not in denial of my homosexuality at all.

Well, A few months ago I think I was straight (I posted on the San Francisco craiglist "when did you become gay" and they were like "how do you become gay!?&quot I found I really enjoy being gay and it's nice to have GYC. I've probably always been gay just never noticed it.

I'm happy with who I am.

The reason that you wish you were straight is probably due to social pressures and the stigma that is associated with homosexuality in most cultures. It is much easier being straight. Iam neither straight nor gay, I believe that true love can actually transcend gender. It is really up to you, you can chose to ignore this feeling for guys eventhough they will always be there and possibly live a lie.....or you can accept yourself for who you are. Make the right descion- your descion.

I would definately choose to be gay. I am happy being gay. I mean, being gay I'm attracted to guys. But if I was str8 I'd be attracted to girls. How very strange.

If I had a choice? I'd choose gay all the way! I love being gay, and it's strange to think of being something else now that I've accepted full-heartedly who I am.

i'd still be gay if i had a chocie i love being with guy's i mean they know what you like and how to treat you sure some people don't like looking at gay couples but i don't cre what they think so gay all the way

I really agree with you 2hot_2touch, I am bi, and this is my belief.. If love is truely immaterial of physical nature, and is truely an attraction of the soul, then i pose the question: Why do the majority of the population fall in love with only one gender?

If gender isn't an issue shouldn't it be equally likely for a guy to fall in love with a girl as to another boy. And so back to the point 2hot_2touch made, is that 'true love can actually transcend gender.' Thus, I wouldn't care who I fell in love with, as long as they loved me back, gay or straight. And so in response to the question at hand, I wouldn't choose to be either gay or straight.

Please remember people, don't get lost in the sterotype 'gay', you are not gay, you are 'you'!!

Well i agree with Icedemon about the matter of attraction!! But i will disagree with who (male or female) that you are attracted to!! Personally i am not even out of the closet yet, nor have i had any sexual contact with another man, I still would not want to be straight!! Because like what 2hot_2touch said, it's easier to be straight!!
If this question is asked to newly gay men who live in small minded society's, you will most likely get the anser that they would rather be straight, but the deal is that it is so much funner emotionally to be gay!!

Even given a choice, I would still choose to be a lesbian. I enjoy being who I am, and my sexuality is a fundamental part of me & my personality. I think if I was straight, I would change completely. For a start, I'd be fancying guys, talking about guys, my dirty sense of humour would swing that way. I dunno. I would be all weird and wrongy wrong wrong for me. I see being a lesbian as totally natural. My mum is one and I guess I've been brought up around it all my life. For me, being straight would be a totally unnatural, weird feeling.
