Liberal or Conservative 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago
hey all... just wondering if you guys, on a political level, are more liberal or conservative, IF WE TOOK AWAY THE FACT THAT THE LIBERALS ARE SUPPORTATIVE OF EVERYTHING RELATED TO SAME SEX... if that was not part of the equation, on a political front, how supportative are you? This is mainly for people in Canada!!!

Being the southern hemisphere here, everything's upside down. Our party Liberals are conservatives. But anyway.

You can't take away the fact that liberals are supportive of same sex issues (when they have the balls to be). It'd be like saying would you vote for Hitler if you just took away that he has genocidal tendencies. But I'll try to be impartial.

I see nothing wrong with being conservative as long as what's being conserved is sensible, logical, pragmatic, efficient. However, a lot of what I have issue with conservatives is with 'Family First'-like parties that enjoy bending everyone over and fucking our collective arsehole, all in the supposed namesake of 'protecting the children'. Mind you, some of the laws conservative types have bought into the U.S.A. makes me think children and young teens would be much better off without them.

I'm fine with conserving traditions that work, not moral institutions from religions. Resonant echoes from an uneducated past, what they did get right is worth keeping, everything else, back to the drawing board.

Then again, there isnt really much difference between the political parties in the UK right now, so come election day I will prabably be going down the pub!

I'd still be liberal; to me conservative means Nazi. Well I guess not a fiscal conservative.

Socially I tend to be very liberal. If you are not hurting yourself or others, then it's basically alright in my book. Economically, however, I tend to lean more toward capitalism (except for universal healthcare). I watched my mom lose her job because of our piss poor liberal economics in MI. The service tax that MI introduced was repealed within a week I think. The state government taxes the living hell out of its population. And they wonder why our population is rapidly declining and why Detroit is a dying city...

I'm kinda central too. More liberal than conservative. If I lived in USA i'll be democrat ! In France I'm in the "right" party (sarkozy) ! Parti de droite = sarkozy.

ditto

well the conservatives still follow christianity, and that makes em kinda hypocitical as they are supposed to have separated church and state. They're very un origonal always looking 2 the past of in the bible for their next big idea. They ae also almost all white males (well that goes for the liberals 2 but atleast the liberals try 2 bring in someone of a different gender, and/or race 2 mix it up) so their big on stereotypes, and are basically racist. GEORGE BUSH

#1 reason for me 2 dislike the conservatives? I'm atheist
