Age really shouldnt matter as long as your both happy and no one is getting into anything theyre not happy with!

My personal opinion is that the age gap between you is way too big. Thats like first year of high school going out with someone who has left (in NZ). But I guess in the end its up to you. Whatever time you both feel comfortable with is my best advice.

I would personally say that, with a few exceptions, i wouldn't date anyone who was younger then 15, and i think a 15 year old would also have to be sure he was gay.

That's more for a fact that i've known so many guys who've got turned on by a guy at 13 (and let's face it, 13 year olds get turned on by glasses of water), assumed they were gay and ended up having anal with some guy before getting older and realising they were straight, and that's the situation i would be weary off.

Also i think that a young teenager, if he does realise he's gay, might not always know what to make of it, and might start wanting to have sex etc early on to see what it's like, and basically being pretty naive about what sex means (same for straight kids at that age), as well as slightly emotionally immature.

So yeah, personally i think that younger then 15 is a know in case they are straight and your presence helps make them think they're gay or something etc.

However, there are cases where younger guys have known they were gay, and that's okay, and if thye want an older guy then that's okay, but i think, taking Karuna's problem, that at 13-14 as mentioned above, they want sex but are too young and naive to it, and shouldn;t have it for a few more years.

Btw, Karuna, i really respect your thoughts on how you think he;s too young for yourself and wanting him to have someone his own age etc, it really shows howmuch you care for him and for his welfare, he's lucky to be with you and not someone who's only in it TO have sex with a 14 year old.

ok you shouldn't lie to your friends and his friends. now to the sex issue if your ready and he's ready go for it. i mean i'm 15 and dating an 18 year old and we have a sexual relationship. so age dosent matter

thats definately not too big of a age gap...i started at 13 and by bf was 16....my last boyfriens was 13 and im 17...doesn't really matter as long as u know ur gay and like the other person

I not sure about telling people the real age as they may judge on it but truth be told its just a number and what ever makes you happy

I guess it depends on the person, and the maturity levels. Honestly, 17 and 13 to me is a huge gap, but 27 to 23 isn't. If you know what I mean? As you get older, gaps tend to matter less, but the problem with the teen years is that is when your life changes most, and you mature most, physically and emotionally. You may be a completely different person at age 13 then you will be at 18, I know I am.

In the end, it's only going to be a big deal if you make it a big deal, but I personally think that's a large age gap for the teen years. I guess it's all about the level of maturity.
