OK so here the problem:

At the moment i am at school but leave for collage next year.

at the moment most people at school know im gay and are ok with it.
but next year starting a new collage with Brand Spanking new people i dont know what 2 do.

i dont what 2 spend 3 years on my own with no firends

do i tell then Str8 out ????
or try to hide it??????

What shall i do???

If you hide who you are from these new people, then they will get to know you as a lie. They will get to know someone you're only PRETENDING to be.

I was in the same situation. I was leaving High School where everyone and their brother, mother, sister, and (in some cases) daughters knew about me. Then I went off to Higher Education... new school, new people.

I was straight with them from the begining.... well... okay, maybe not "straight", but I was honest. :-D

And I've made great new friends! And I know that they like me for ME because I was honest with them from the begining, and they got to know me, not a mask.

Ultimately, it's your decision. Are you ready to be seen in that way? Are you ready to introduce yourself as such from the begining?

Only YOU can decide what is best for you, but when in doubt, Honesty is a great policy.

I think you should be open to them, new school, start of just being yourself. Unless its homophobic or so..
I never told at my current school, next year uni I want to be out tho! And I dont think I will be without friend for 4 years then .

In a bit of a generalisation, but colleges tend to be a much more accepting and open place than schools are. You'll likely find a wide variety of people in college - more so than you perhaps did at school.

Bare in mind - these people have no previous notions of what or who you are. You can make a completely fresh start with them, on your terms. If anything, these people should be easier to tell about you being gay because you don't have any friendships there to lose.

I'd go for it. Anybody who doesn't want to speak to you because of it - screw 'em. There are plenty who don't give a damn and they are the ones I know I'd rather be friends with.

I don't think you should hide it a lot of people tend to pick 6th form to come out, so its unlikely you'll be on you're own iccle gay island so to speak...tell the people that ask thats all I did...I know you said dont say it but all you can do is be yourself...not sayin the three years will be perfect...some people will have a problem...but, at my college atleast, they're silenced by the majority that really dont care.

OK an extention to the question

How do i make my self known like that........(confussed)
so people know that i am with out me telling them or how to defo know someone is with out asking???

Any advice??

yeah im wondering about the same thing. i plan on being open about my sexuality since its a fresh slate, but does that mean i just go around telling people without asking, but if i don't, then they might think i'm straight, and would have to go through the whole coming out process again.

I actually thought u meant some kind of collage...

College right? I've got the same issue. Except i'm was never out at school. I'm doing it progressively... I plan to join the queer collective at uni, i've changed my myspace sexual orientation to something a little more accurate lol, and if someone asks... I'll probly say yeah... The biggest motivation for me to come out would be gettin a bf at uni.

So i rekn, get to know folks, dont be overly loud about it yet till you feel comfortable with the folks around you. Then take it from there, just spread your social circle and come out like that... anyway good luck.
