Am I just some special case or are there other bisexual people out there who are told this? I mean, if I say I'm attracted to someone of the same sex or am in a relationship with someone of the same sex, people are like 'so, you're gay?'. But if I say Im attracted to someone of the opposite sex etc...they say, 'see, you were just straight.' Um yeah...NOT REALLY.

OH another thing I hear a lot is that we're greedy, sexually deviant, sex addicted...I mean, seriously? come on. I'm not any of those things. I just happen to be equally attracted to both sexes. Fact. Of. Life.

Same here, my sister. I'm with a guy now (not for long, though... *cough*), and my friends are thoroughly convinced I'm straight. Or, another bit, back when I had a MAJOR crush on this girl from my history class, everyone thought I was gay. That drives me mad.

And I've also gotten the "You're just a sexually deviant pervert!" shabang. After 3 speeches I just ended up ignoring them. I let my mind wander as they rant. And it usually ends up coming to some sex story... weird, huh?

Being bisexual doesn't make you greedy or any of that. It doesn't even mean that you're looking to have multiple sex partners. All it means, is that you feel a sexual attraction to members of both sexes.


It is best if you can pick one that you like better, and stay with that. Like.. For me, I'm bisexual, but I am more attracted to men than women. That doesn't mean I wouldn't work at a relationship with a woman if it ever came up though.

Another thing to keep in mind.. is that it is your practices that could make you any of those things people call you. If you were to be with a girl, but have a guy you screw on the side, that is what would bring up those kinds of issues. A monogamous relationship, legally binding or not, will save you a lot of hassle from people who don't understand.

This I agree with.
I have a friend who's bisexual and she dated a girl and a guy at the same time and basically everyone was aware of it and questioned her all the time.
It doesn't prove that she's a whore or anything, she's just trying to find the emotions she has best with.

I guess society just wants to bite all the meat out of you, even if it doesn't matter to them.
