Here's how I figure it
Everyone in life's gonna hurt you
You just have to decide who's worth the pain
And the one person who is worth it
Won't hurt you
People will come into your life and leave
Even just for a moment
But they always leave footprints in your heart
And you're never the same again
Because they hurt you
Or because they made you whole
And you learn what love is
You learn the value, purpose and meaning of those three mst powerful words:
"I love you"
And even though those words my burn through you
They may tear you apart
And you tell yourself you'll never do it again
You fall again
Maybe for a moment
Maybe for a while
Or maybe
Just maybe
Forever

Don't dwell on the past
What's done it done
You can't re-write history
Though you may love them
And you hate yourself for it
In the end
One of two things will happen:
They'll realise you're worth it
Or you'll realise they're not

When all is said and done
It can't be denied
You're gonna be hurt
Whether you have fallen
Or have yet to fall
But maybe you're supposed to meet a few wrong people
So that when you meet the right person
You know how to appreciate them

Nomatter whatever
Never say never
Who knows where the heart will lead?
