Pre-note: I am not out. I think generally girls have an easier time because hand holding and sitting on each other's laps and stuff goes completely unnoticed, at least if you're friends and not out. Me and this girl that I like are very physical and no one thinks its weird. Oh, and how do you know with a friend who's generally very physical if they are attracted to you? Im still trying to figure out if my friend is.

If I had a bf id like to think the relationship would be based on trust and id like to think the trust we had would be enough to overcome any insecurities so id like to think I could do PDA but even if I did id still be nervous

I'm out to all my friends, but not my family, so as long as it wasn't somewhere a family member was likely to spot me, I'm all for it. So long as you're not actually fingering each other in public glares at certain straight couples then as far as i'm concerned, go for it. And if you're in, for example, a cinema, then you can get away with a lil bit more

Liberty is a right everyone is entitled to. Consequently, people have the liberty to hold hands or do whatever act - providing it is within the laws you dirty buggers lol - without being criticised by some narrow minded person or people for that matter.

I guess it's not in my nature to show PDA even if I was straight, but if I did like PDA, as gay I think I;d worry that people would think I was just doing it to 'show off' or to 'make a statement' etc...

PDA between boys is actually illegal in the UK though I don't think anybody still enforces it. We tend to forget about laws.... My only gripe with PDA is that I feel bitter.............

I think it would totally depend. Around my friends (eg. a day out), I would be all for. But in school, or in a busy street. I would have to limit it to keep a low profile. I don't like too much attention.
