Thats what the NEW kid was saying...the NEW kid. Talking about me and my friends (2 of the 4 guys that were hanging with me aren't even gay) while a bunch of football players laughed with that annoying dumb-jock chuckle. I couldn't believe that this new guy had the balls to call me a freak and then go on to say that gay's were disgusting and we were all 'going to hell for buttfucking' he didnt even know who I was. Im not flashy with my sexuality and its not anyone's business who I am involved with, especailly not some kid trying to be cool so he is accepted by all the losers. But I do hang out with some of the REALLY OUT gays at school and most everyone knows that Im gay. Still, I dont go around saying that pussy is gross and all that. But I guess its all just a part of highschool...

I'll never understand this "All part of highschool" mentality the United States has. Being bullied? Deal with it: as I recall, you have a bunch of police officers wondering around those places to make sure no-one is killing anyone else. Then you have a number of teachers around. Plenty of people to tell. Then parents can get involved, that's a fun one. Nothing quite like giving the headmaster a good dressing down over the state of his school.

If someone said that at my school they would have gotten fucked up. My school is very gay friendly.

yeah...oddly enough i got the same thing today from some new guy trying to be cool for the arses. in the end he got thrown into a huge patch of sloppy wet mud and oen of the really open gay guys in my group of friends actually said to him 'if i was you, i'd join us because no girl will want you if you can get your arse kicked but a 'butt-prober' (i actually kinda like that word, its funny). best school day of my life that and me, my friend and the annoying arse got suspended so worth it

I live in a small town. I dont enjoy being bullied, but im not out to my parents..therefore If I was to tell anyone I would be in trouble (momz works for the board of education and knows all of the head peeps in the school system) Its not an 'american attitude' its a 'alabama attitude' I live in hick country with all the snake skin, boot-wearing, fag-hating rednecks there isn't much hope. (oh, and the pricipal is one of those rednecks too) High school is pretty much hopeless for gays, but its all good. I have 2 1/2 months left I figure. Then Im in the real world...yay......

I don't wanna put u off or anything, but don't think that as soon as u leave school it all stops, because it doesn't. Infact in some cases, it actually gets worse, and by that I mean that the protection of the school isn't there anymore.

In most cases however, people do accept u for who u r. I have heard things about small towns in America that makes me believe that u will still find it hard to get away from the name calling for a while. Unfortunately, thats life, when u leave school, u must learn to expect the worst from people. That way u won't be shocked and dismayed by what u see and hear.

As for school protection, what school protection? You obviously haven't been to a school in the southern half of the United States, or at least any Alabama schools. The fact is, oppression is there, but I think that college will be much more accepting because Im moving to a much diffrent part of the state: bigger city, more gays. Please dont assume that I dont know it COULD get worse-You dont live in my house, you dont know what I'm going through day-to-day. I can assure you, there isn't much worse then whats happening with me now.

I'm not saying I know u or u're situation at all, simply because every situation is different.

But I do insist that u expect people to still not like who u r, I'm sorry m8 but thats life, u can't be accepted by every1.

Sure there will be more gay guys and gals in college, but u'll still get the problems u have right now with sum people.

of course, im just saying there is no real reason for people to make fun. I dont see a bunch of business people all pointing and laughing at their gay co-worker.. Kids in highschool are just trying to be cool, and I stress the word trying... OH!, and Im out of high school by the way. Yesterday was my last day, and its great!

Thankfully, you have the knowledge knowing that they will always be narrow minded idiots of society for the rest of their lives - until they get a slap in the gob.

If we rise above these idiots then that alone derives more satisfaction then buying into their pathetic attempts to act 'cool'.
