The Door.

The Door is ajar
Open to Me
Where does it lead?

I step forward reluctantly
I try to achieve courage
But, I fail miserably

The Door is the only exit
Beckoning to me
Just to me

A myriad of thoughts
Come over me
Like the wave that slams against the beach

I can not prolong
My journey
Everything is inevitable

The Door is
Relevant to
Everything

It is the answer
The exit
The last hope I have

The Door is
The answer to
My problems

I stumble towards
The Door, Accepting
The invitation it offered me

As I go through
The deserted Door
I become free

Free at last

I was trying to figure the mood out myself.
I wrote this as an assignment for English.
The teacher didn't really like it though.

Reminds me of a quote from Aldous Huxley
"If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern."
