Born Gay... 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Do you think that you were born gay? Or do you believe that you wern't born with a sexuality and had to go through the first decade and a half or so of your life finding out if you were straight, gay or bi?

Personally I believe that we are born with no sexuality and we have to discover for our selves what we are comfortable with.

What are your guys thoughts?

xxx

I personally believe that we're born gay, bi, or straight and such. But that everyone assumes straight from the beginning its hard. everybody assumes your straight when your born, so you were raised to be straight, even if your not. when your little you have an orientation but you don't really know what it is, when you start school, everyone is just a friend, you dont think of it then, but it's always there.

I think that when your young, because everything is soo innocent and full of life, you dont really think about it much then, and everyone is just friends. I remember liking a girl when i was in class reception, and i used to get really jealous because the other boys liked her! but it took me a while to realize i was actually gay lol! I dont really have a clue what happened, because i remember really liking this girl, but tbh i wouldnt change being gay for the world =] I first realized when i fancied this guy of holby city! and that was when i was about 9 lol

I believe that I was born gay. I don't really remember a time when I've liked girls. There were/are many times where I've forced myself to act like i like girls, but I've never willingly been attracted to the opposite sex.

Personally I don't.
I just realized it when I grew older and discovered who I really am.

I'd go with born, as I can't remember ever having any attraction to girls. If it could develop from your surrounding or experiences I can personally discount that as I could say I had a pretty "straight" upbringing yet I always felt different around guys i liked.

The only cause of childhood innocence is society's imposition for this to be the status quo. From when I was actually attracted to other males? 12, and oddly, I really didn't think that much of it.

Well seeming as there's an almost unfiorm percentage (something like 6%) of gay/bi men and women then that seems genetic to me. I read some thing the other day that said genetic variants that make women more fertile for example could have the effect of homosexuality in men With all the gene sequencing stuff we might soon know

It may be for some people they're born gay, for others it's environmental factors and for others it may be a life even that changes them. For instance some people change their outlook on life if someone dies, who's to say someone "changes" their sexuality when something happens to them?
