i have to admit i am a little vain
but at the same time i can proudly say i'm not vain YAY!!!!!

i suppose i am vain, people have said i am, but i mostly just try to take pride in my appearance since i don't think i'm good looking so i have to try and make something look decent

Everybody has some strain of vanity in them, otherwise we wouldn't post pictures of ourselves in myspce albums, or on here!

It's whether we're in love with our own reflection, rather than others....i hate that kinda thing.

Yes, as a sexuality group, we ARE generally more vain than other MALES. Notice MALES.

Lesbians don't seem to find the need to be attractive as such an important thing though... At least not to the degree we do.

So maybe one could hypothesize that the desire to be attractive is more naturally embedded within the typical female behavioral pattern than male. Maybe it was brought on by the typical male need of being appealed towards by the female... Or maybe it's vice versa, it's not that easy to determine.

In any case, men, generally more so than women, have a great NEED to be appealed towards physically/ visually. Thus women can get incredibly concerned about how they look sometimes.

I think the same thing has resulted in homosexuals. Other men, want to see, meet and mate, with attractive men. Thus the process is emulated, but this time, instead of the generally more submissive, quieter way in which females treat it, it is mixed with the aggressive initiative and competitiveness of a male specimen. And so the trait seems more pronounced, more noticeable...

That's just wot I think though.

But heck, who cares. Be attractive! Be concerned about the way you look! Just don't let it get to your head... Excessive pride and Narcissism can wreck a persona no matter how perfect a picture you are...

People in general are vain, however it sorta connects with their surroundings.
You wanna look good so that way you'll have confidence and to prevent assholes from saying "hey look at that hideous monkey face."

I have been called vain so many times it has lost its sting. But hey... I AM! I am like a b;oddy magpie - shiny/ refelctove surfaces attract me... its bad i know but i justify it by saying that vanity at least allows people to always look their best. Of course i dont go around shafting the way people look in a loud obnoxious voice. Thats not my style. I reserve my vanity for myself... seriously i get bitchy to myself sometimes. Just to ensure i dont leave the house looking like a sack of shit. Cos guys we all know it... you cant see personality. So its up to all of us to clean up good as best we can
