I think its fair that sick twisted peadophiles\rapists or anyone who has sex with younger children or teens be given the death penalty.

the death penalty is essential, but not just more pedophiles but for muderers and rapists too. Life sentences are stupid and worthless, why do i want to keep paying taxes so some idiot can rot in a prison cell, kill them off and move on!

i think that the death penalty should only be used in extreme cases. what if a person is wrongly convicted and sentenced to death? there have been cases of innocent people being killed because of the death penalty and its not like the state can go back and say oops we got the wrong person. what is the family supposed to do? in texas they have one of the highest number of people killed because of the death penalty and in several cases they were wrong. was it right for those innocent people to die for no reason? was it fair? did they deserve it? now go back and take a look at the death penalty and say it should be used to kill everyone who has life in prison. if an innocent person is alive then they can at least appeal their case in court, but if they are already dead then its too late. the state just killed another innocent human being. is that right? is it fair? is it just? i dont think so. my opinion just for ur info...

I have a very twisted sense of morality, or so I have been told. I think that having an option of a death penalty is a good thing, because- for lack of better words- some people do deserve to be put to death for their crimes. Pedophiles being some of those people. I believe that any one who does something to a child, anyone who takes a child's innocense, childhood, or life, should die for it, because in my mind that is the worst thing anyone could ever do. I know that if anyone ever hurt my children I would kill them without a second thought.
I have been around some very bad people in my life, heck my family is made up of some very bad people, but at the same time they aren't bad, if that makes any sense at all. As I said before I have a twisted sense of morality, and death does not bother me, it is a part of life, a nessecity. I think some people do deserve to die, and I know that there is a chance of convicting an innocent person to death, and that saddens me, but I still thinkl the death penalty is needed, even if it puts innocent people at risk. People can be innocent in more then just not commiting the crime, well they wouldn't be &quot;innocent&quot; but they are at least not guilty. I know a man who has been in prison for 14 years, and he commited his crime, but I do not think that he deserves to be in prison. He took another's life, but he took a life that hurt others, he killed the man that raped and killed his 10 years old sister, and molested many other children. I think that the man he killed deserved to die, but others would disagree with me, that brings me back to my sense of morality.

You USA people get so aggravated if corporal punishment is done by Muslims, yet you STILL execute people yourself. Still you are one of the only western countries who are so primitive you still execute people! Your two faced ways have to stop soon... I personally find it hard to believe such a technologically advanced nation can be THAT stupid.

I must second Gumdropster last statement. Alot of the time death penalties are used in countries that are heavily censored, to kill opposition or people who speak out negatively about the government. I also think its too much off a hit and miss with the death penalty I mean look at the The life of David Gayle????

Nobody deserves to die at the hand of another stupid human being. I know the difference Artiste... A pedophile is just like a homosexual or a heterosexual, except he's/she's attracted to children. A child molester however, is one who acts out on sexual urges with kids.
