Actually, it's pretty easy to find love when you're still closeted, depending on your location (of course.) I think that the best place for closeted individuals are gay youth centers since:

1) There's generally a mix of good and not so good people at centers, which is great depending on what you honestly want in a relationship...

2) Most, if not all, gay youth centers have strict rules that make sure all members remain anonymous, which is great for closeted people( Really does work too =D closeted people aren't uncommon at most, shoot my boyfriend was closeted =D I met him at my city's gay youth center~)

3) If you do run into someone you know, then they probably have explaining to do too =D

Okay, the reasons might suck, but I think that's the safest way of meeting people while in the closet, unless you're just looking for a one-time hook-up, which is pretty easy to find (gloryholes, Craig's list,internet in general, etc)

I see you're from Maryland, so I tried to find some good places that could help you with finding a great place. Even if these groups aren't what you're looking for, I'm sure they can lead you to a place you are :

Ah, being shy is completely understandable, and I should tell you right now that it'll be extremely awkward when you first get there (I sat on the couch and shook my first two months!), but that shouldn't keep you from trying to go to a place like that =D, I mean once you get over the initial paranoia that comes from being in a room where all the guys (and some girls. Bi people are so fun) might be checking you out, a gay youth center/organization is a pretty awesome place to go to.

Heh, I went from a pre-seizure person to a hug-all-the-guys-in-the-room person ^.^

Just don't let your shyness stop you from experiencing things, especially a matter like this. Force yourself to go and run on adrenaline =) the feeling's beyond memorable.
