Whoever is responsible for posting a link to the DAY OF SILENCE on the home page of the GYC.......THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!! For so many of us in the USA .... this is a very special day! Many of us here have put lots of effort into this event in our communities and hope that more people will participate....in whatever way they can. Thanks again!

You remain silent to pay tribute for those of us who can no longer speak for themselfs, like my late cousin. At least that was one of the original ideas for the day of silence.
It sounds quite good but I don't think I would be able to keep silent for a whole day, It's relatively impossible, I'de have to speak to myself but I think it's a nice idea

And to be honest, I can see why.
I think it's kind of ironic to be silent for a day to promote coming out, speaking up about gay rights, or whatever it's promoting.
And being silent is only going to make your day difficult, in addition to the fact that people won't know why you're being silent...
Why not a day of awareness or something?...
That would be a lot less contradictory.
