Me i have way more girls for friends then i do guys girls i think are just easyer 2 get along with but the only girl i don't get along with is my sister she told me im going 2 hell for being gay.

I must agree the perception is that a typical gay guy is someone who is feminie but they are also people who are masculine and gay. So it depends for me I have more guy friends because what would I be doing with girls anyway. The new metrosexual men are jsut as good....

My main friendship ground consists of two other males with three females, but I do have lots more friends, most of whom are male, but alot of whom are female, too!

Hm....thats kinda like saying that most gay guys become hairdressers anyways.....i have both male and female friends....and im not going to become a hairdresser.

Okay, I'm a girl, so I reversed this. All my closest friends are girls, although among the larger group of my friends there are a few guys.

I also have far more guy mates than girls - my best friends are all guys. Something that you'll probably learn in time is that not all (if many at all) gay guys actually match up to the stereotypes you have in your head.

There are plenty of us who hang about with guys, are into sport, not camp, not that fussed about fashion etc. etc.

And there are those who are the opposite.

If you hang about with girls a lot more, why do you think that is? What are your reasons?

Because other people who are gay may not think the same way.

I think it would be fair to say this is probably more of a generalisation than fact, but it would make sense because logically women would feel less sexually "threated" by gay guys than straight ones.

And, I must admit, a lot of my friends (probably about half) were female evebn before I came out the closet to them -- or myself.

I don't think sexual preference has anything to do with who your friends will be...it all depends on your personality.

Most of my friends are girls. i think it is because alot of them are emotionally unstable and i just support them for a laugh and a bit of a muck around without the risk of us having some dodgy relationship. I have male friends too, like dean, he's got nice skin.x
