From personal experience the most annoying part is the stereotypes that are carried along with being gay. They expect me to be a totally fairy an yet I act like any other "straight" guy. My bisexual boyfriend acts gayer than I do. But sometimes I enjoy the attention when I do act "gay". I love my red stilettos!

A teacher in my school highlighted this for me and it made me feel ashamed to be gay But then i realised i shouldnt be ashamed, its him who should, he is ignorant..

And the straight thing is a downer for me aswell but a lot of straight guys want a gay experience in Sheffield

In my opinion, the worst parts of being gay are:
Peoples negative attitude towards homosexuality.
Liking a heterosexual.
They are the only two in my opinion.

I agree that the hardest part is finding someone.

I hate liking someone but not being sure if they are or aren't and for some reason not being able to ask them.

A lot of people say there's a gay part to everyone but I don't know because there's no straight part or side to me and there never will be. I just know. But there have been tons and tons of 'straight' guys who've kind of flirted a bit or said something to me when they've been pissed so I don't know.

The whole situation with not knowing really annoys me and I wish it was more accepted not for my sake but just so you knew who's straight/bi/gay.

I don't find homophobia a bad thing personally. Well, it is but just because it gives me more of an idea of who my friends really are.

Love... its the worst part... ive been out almost 5 years and wasted it on time wasters. Ive never found anyone I could even fall in love with - the longest relationship ive had with a guy is 3 months before I just knew it wasn't gonna work. I dunno if it's just where I come from or if im emotionally dead, but I guess I look in the wrong places.

Ive got some really close female friends and I know that if i was straight we wouldnt just be friends, particularly one, we both agree it wouldnt just be friendship and it wouldnt just be a relationship - so i guess, being gay in its self is a bugger haha!

The image concious nature of the gay community is pretty bad - admitedly, im a culprit!

There appears to be a lot of vanity within the gay community, which is really not good at all. Attractiveness is great for a first impression, but I oftentimes find that it is hard to get substance from someone.

But I'll perservere, we all will.

The homophobics who harass you on the street, and automatically think they can pound your face into the ground because your gay.

the worst part about being gay is trying to find love.

But the wait is what makes it all the better. I would not be the person who I am today if I was in a ton of relationships and the guys that I talk to all say that if I wasn't taken, they would steal me for themselves. (I'm sorry if that sounds conceited... I always blush when they say that if that helps...) Don't regret time that you never had, cherish the time you have with your partner now.
