I use to be christian until last month when i admitted to myself that i am gay. When i realized i was gay i came out and quite alot of people said "You cant be gay and christian". To me this makes no sense because god made us perfect in every way. I find it impossible to belive that god (assuming he is real) would make us what he did not want us to be. Im now kinda like a wicca, but I prefer to call myself a 'user of chi' (for those of you who dont know what chi is, its body energy, similar to that of karma, but different) and to me the word god basicaly means good and the word devil means evil. Both words are just the same but shortened. For instantce the word god is the word good but its missing an o. If god hates homosexuality then why did he create it? Why didnt he just make us all strait? Wouldnt that of been better than making something that he would later regret he made? Sorry if i have offened anyone but these are only my views and answers to this question.

As far as im concerned if i was magically created by some superpowerful megadude ( god translated into retard ) and he decided to make he a homo. Then either he/she/whateverthefuckelseitwouldbe really can't be to bothered by it or i would have been made into some sort of hetro-republico-monstro-child. Of course theres always the chance that i was created gay, just because god was bored and a bit of a sick fuck, and wanted to create something he hates. This topic is really interresting and concerns evryone. I've had some real problems with this very question. I hated god because everyone says he hates fags, junkies, alcoholix, smokers and so on. I was like: 'hey why did god give us life if it was for hating us?"
After many talks and significant events I've come to the conclusion that GOD ACTUCALLY loves us. No matter what priests and imams say. God is really great guy. I believe in him. I don't lie(except about the fact that I am gay), I don't steal anything, I try not to hurt anyone, I don't drink and I don't eat pork (I am muslim). I'm sure Jesus has already had a gay friend and Mahomet too.lol No this is a joke but who knows? If we don't hurt anyone, why shouldn't we be ourselves? Being gay is not just about having sex with a guy and Love has no law...and this is what it's all about! LOVE. God loves us and he wants us to love him and love all the people around us.

I'm just completely atheist. God is, to me, a pretty stupid concept. Other people can believe what they want, but an all-powerful being who wants people all to be the same, but makes them all different is a stupid idea to me.

When I first began to think that I might be gay, I was terrified. I come from a religious family, and anyone who has read the bible knows how "forgiving" God is. If you screw up, he will smote your ass. Now, I am actually thankful for my sexuality, because it made me really consider my beliefs. So, if God hates me, I'll just call up the Super Friends and they can fight it out on Tatooine.

Even though im not gay, i am bi, that still has homosexuality in it. So as the bible says that Homosexuality is a sin.
If he is real, idk he probably does and doesnt at the same time. Does-for the bible says i think that he loves every person. Doest- for he doesnt approve of what we do or prefer.

Well, I'm Jewish, and I believe in God and that God wrote the bible and everything. And, having read the verses "condemning homosexuality" in Hebrew, they are not at all clear and are probably not even talking about homosexuality. The first time I read them, my initial reaction was "what the hell does that mean?" The phrase that is generally interpreted to denote anal intercourse between men is only used in the two verses that are supposedly about homosexuality (I think), so it is impossible to really understand them.
However, regardless of the verses in Leviticus, it also says in the bible that people were created in God's image, and that it is not good for a person to be alone. This idea is repeated in Ecclesiastes: "Two are better off than one...For should they fall, one can raise the other; in contrast, how sad is the one alone who falls with no companion to raise him! Also, when two lie together they are warm, but when one is alone how will he get warm?" A really fantastic book on this subject is Wrestling with God and Men, by Rabbi Steve Greenberg.
In the introduction, he references a story in which a tailor accuses the Sanhedrin (the legal body in charge of interpreting the Torah at that time) of using the bible as a weapon (which is forbidden, because "Everything recorded in the Torah was recorded for the sake of peace; and even when war is recorded in the Torah, it is recorded for the sake of peace) against children born out of wedlock in their interpretation of a verse forbidding them from "entering into God's community/gathering" as a prohibition for them to marry Jews for ten generations. He quotes a verse from Ecclesiastes "I saw all of the oppression that goes on under the sun: behold! the tears of the oppressed, and they have no one to comfort them; and in contrast the power of their oppressors, and still there is no one to comfort them"(this is my own translation, sorry if it doesn't read well in English, I was trying to be as accurate as possible.) In this case, he says, when the oppressed have no one to redeem them or even to comfort them, "the Holy One, Blessed Be He, says 'it is upon me to comfort them'".

Ok here's my take god dosen't have us cuz he says to come as you are not changer first the3n come so..yeah and half the bible verses or all are more so assumptions than acctual words....
My dad's a pastor so I hear aloth about homosexuality being wrong but I don't believe any of it because God is supposed to be a god of love,giving, and forgiveness (not that we have anything to be forgiven of) but if it's wrong for me to like another girl or a dude to like anothe then they might as well say that a it's wrong to be a vegetarian and like another vegitarian.So thers my take if anyone cares..

Lets get one thing straight (No pun indended),

The Bible cannot be trusted. Over thousands of years the texts of the Holy book have been repetitvely rewritten, translated, and in many cases, edited. Of course, many books were added and removed in order to convey the message inteded by the vatican.

Addititionally, If people insist that "God loves everyone" and "we are all God's beloved children", then wouldn't it be a bit assumptuous to say that God hates gays? Remember, to Assume makes an Ass out of You and me!

So my point here is don't believe in everything that blind sheep will tell you, and if all else fails, convert to Buddhism. From my experience they are far more accepting.
