yeah so one night stands arent necessarily all fab and wonderful...sexual history should indeed be considered...

i spose the problem is that a lot of gay culture is sex obsessed and so lots of younger guys might get the impression that its all about the sex...forgetting that its actually possible to meet and greet...

...although the one night stand is inevitable and isnt the worst thing in the whole universe...but moderation and morals should come into play...try to get to know your guy a bit more than "you...me, outside"!!!!

Yeah i think rob is most probably right about all this. While there are two extremes there is also the in-betweens (honestly i didn't intend that to rhyme). While i would not sleep with a guy i liked - a stranger, i'm not sure that I wouldn't enjoy myself in other ways.

Exactly! There's a major difference between the two ends of the scale that can be considered a one night stand. For the majority of these considering a person's sexual history shouldn't really be neccessary, as long as your being careful and sensible.
It's a personal choice, so as long as you consider the other person's feelings then no-one should end up getting hurt - the people who do get hurt by one night stands aren't likely to be having many of them!

I've had one-night-stands in the past, unknowingly leading the other person on into believing I want a relationship AND I've had one-night-stands with people I really fancy, but totally get rejected (politely) by the next day. It can be tough, unless sex is all you want, in which case- go for it.

Yeah, and before you guys start sending me packets of condoms, I'm a complete fan of protection and would NEVER have real sex with out it. I understand the whole heat-of-the-moment thang when all you wanna do is rip eachothers clothes off and shag in th doorway, but it's a chance you're taking.
