well tbh,
i myself have been in a internet relationship a few times,
but i wouldnt exactly say they are the best thing in life.
yea when u get the chance to meet up with them its great,
i enjoyed the ppl i met.

but things like fraustration are quite an issue, or it were for me
not being able to see them whenever you want for various reasons ie, theyre in a different country or whatever,

i mean i'm not dismissing internt relationships, not at all
its a great way to start things but i'm just saying, that you have to be prepared to suffer the agony of not being able to see them and physically go out with them.

you just dont get the full package if what i'm saying,
but if it works for you then i say go for it =]

i really believe in a internet relationships. Sure they arent like in real life but u never know what ur life is gonna bring you. and i also think that if two ppl really love each other by the internet then its possible that they will meet eachother in real life and be together forever ... ahh love is beautiful when it brings happiness but it can also hurt really bad

its terribly hard...
i dont suggest it to people
be good friend with those people
but never go out with them, over the internet sorta thing
it will only end badly xx

I have a really wonderful relationship for over 18 months now, and we talk
almost everyday, sometimes for hours. I dare to doubt many have so much
contact IRL lol We want to be together, but he's on the other side of
the world.. but we will never stop until we're together.

And yes, we see each other on cam all the time, I watch him sleep,
we even already wear engagement rings

It can work, but such things are rare, as its very hard at times..

internet relationship are for people who are too afair to show your true self, too afraid of rejection and does have enought self confident to go out and have a REAL RELATIONSHIP.dont even go and tell me that i dont what it's feel like or you never been in one or i'm closed mind, cuz i did have a internet relationship with dis guy and i thought i love him and he turn out to be a jerk i found out he have a bf and also he like to sleep around. My bbf she have a alot of internet relationship with guy in like england and he state.......she was never happy, she is "omg i love him soo much....and i miss him" and blab blab blab i eman i get tired of hearing those thing now she found out that the guy in emgland thats he is dating nothing more then a highschool and he is like 24 and she is like 15.....ewwww... soo old guy....i dont mean it that way..but yeah she never hang out with me anymore...she is alway home and online and chatting with the guy....it's make me soo sad...you can build happyness but it's false happyness, you are just hapy cuz you ahve someone because you are lonely, adn plus you brag about how you have bf/gf and everything soo it;s will make you sound cool and really you are not happy cuz you never get to touch the person or see them smile or even who they really are....soo i believe that internet are for people who are too afrair or ashame of themself to go out and look for a real one

Doesn't matter how much the relationship means to anyone, it's still crap and very likely destined to failure. Like any relationship really. But be that as it may, it's not at all like a relationship in person. Physical proximity is useful for more than just sex. It is involved in every aspect of the relationship, and without it it simply wont work. Get used to it. Go out and get a real date.

I suppose however if your prone to obsessive behaviour it might work, simply because it becomes an obsession... but whatever, if you all wish to try it go right ahead. I've been there, done that, was fine, but can't come close to the real thing.

I would say that the only decent thing the internet has to offer is the possibility of meeting people, and coming into eachother's real life. The internet is just too impersonal and anonymous to have a decent relationship with anyone.

I also agree its STUPID to have a relationship over the internet and really is quite funny to be honest.

You can't spend time with them.
You cant interact with them.
No sex.
No going out to the cinema etc.
No meeting eachothers friends and families.
No fun.

It just seems like 2 friends who chat over the net alot but think eachother is good looking, there is no way you can fall in love with someone over the internet and if you do then I think you might need to go to the doctor for an obsessive disorder or something.

Just to clarify, im not bothered if people use the internet to meet people in real life, although I still think thats really wierd (Less wierd for gay people as its harder to find people ) but to spend years just chatting online together like a couple of people have posted is SAD!
