Anyone tried laser removal? 1 Year, 4 Months ago
I just thought I'd ask the question whether anyone else here has tried SPL (square pulse laser treatment) or in simple english laser hair removal. I know its no cheap, but i was wondering about people's opinions on it and whether its a good thing or not. To also answer anyone's question about what its like its not the most pleasant thing to go through but they say 'no pain, no gain' and i think there has definitely been good gains.

So I'm assuming you went through it? If you did, could you elaborate on the experience, I'm actually quite interested in the whole process.

Yeah i did, well i am, its still a work in progress but it definitely works. Anyway how it works, basically you shave down the area you want treated, they apply a gel (which is extremely cold ) and then they use a laser to slowly fry the ends of the hairs, its not pleasant the feeling i think of it as like many burning misquito bites (that's the best way i can think of describing it). About twenty days later the hairs then fall out which is a bit strange but in a good way. This process just gradually reduces the hairs, increases the length of time they grow back and other good things when coming to looking good. I also should mention that the best combination is fair skin and dark hair as the laser focuses on the pigments in the hairs. Dark skin makes it harder and apparently having blonde and red hair doesn't make it very easy. Hopefully that helped .

Oh, and i should also mention that it does require more than one treatment, it might varey depending on what area and your genetic make up but i think the average is about 6 treatments at least, but you do notice a big difference after the first treatment.
