Not aimed at anyone on here

but a lot of people go too far with their religions

and it really does my head in.

Anyone agree?

I look at it this way. If there is a hell, and all of the gay people are going there. Then we can be sure that it will be a much more interesting place.. And most likely have better interior decorators than any "heaven"

If you didn't want to see people discussion religion, why did you come to the religion forum? Or are you referring to people in general (real life.. lol)

people in real life, it's just a passing comment I thought I'd put in a blog form and see who agrees. So far so good.

Luckily hell was just created because the thought of being in eternal suffering is much more comforting then the thought of you simply no longer existing.

I know plenty of people in real life who are religious and they don't have an iota of hate or distaste for gays. That being me, and my parents, as it so happens

We have plenty of people in our village who are good friends with us. Not all know I'm gay yet, but they probably wouldn't give a damn anyway. It's only people who abuse the religion and misinterpret it I think that then use it as an excuse to be homophobic.

I'm not religious myself, and I don't really agree with Christianity, but I highly doubt God hates gay people, and I certainly don't think you're gonna go to hell. Someone who says that is probably more likely to go to hell themselves for twisting God's words. And yes, I know the bible is full of contradictions but what some people say is taking it too far.

Or maybe it's only your misinterpretation that tells you homosexuality is okay?

Can you really say only your interpretation is correct and everyone else is wrong?

If we're all going to hell, it's going to be so gay...

Generalizations are bad.

I do agree that some people take religion too far, but some people take homosexuality too far as well.

And I find it hard to comprehend that a God that is nothing but love would send anyone to Hell. If God is love, and God exists everywhere, then there can be no Hell.

To anyone who thinks that God is full of compassion, just skim through ANY BOOK IN THE OLD TESTAMENT. If you screwed up, he would smote your ass.
