not al;l wiccans worship the God as well as the Goddess. My whole coven [I, Darra, Luisaidh, and Aura] are dianic wiccans ie, we do not worship the god as the goddesses equal. i do not worship him at all, except as the consort of the mother. THat being said, i have no problem [being wiccan] with people hu do worship the god equally, its just not for me
incidentally, i was drawn to wicca because of its lack of bigotry, especially homophobia.

Ya see i would call that more of a practicing group, as there's been no formal initiation into a coven of elders etc. like going through the degrees, but that's just me personally.
And i do see the drawing in of Dianic Wicca, however, you still do worship the Lord and in aspect as Her consort, so ya still do. And how can you not see the God ad her equal ? Without Him she would not have had us, and thus we could not give so much thanks.

thats gardnerian, alexandrian, etc wicca lol - the more formal traditions. We are all self initiates. We see him as not being equal to the Goddess as he came from her...she is the great mother who created all things [as we see it], including her progeny - we acknowledge him, but do not worship him. I still, however, believe he is an immense magical and spiritual force - but one that came from the Mother. Blessed Be xx

it really depends on the tradition of the coven.
some covens practice rituals skyclad and even scourging. which parental guardians probably wouldn't be happy with if their child was preforming. but there are covens that will take you before you're 18; we have two in arkansas who will let minors join.
and for the spells that haven't worked. in my view of magic
you have to honestly want the result of the work, you have to believe
fully that the workings will bring what you want, and you can't tell anyone of the workings. the witch's pyramid could show you the steps of working magic. and a lot of the times the spells you do preform won't always work out in the way that you wish they would, but this doesn't mean that they haven't.
blessed be.

i agree when it comes to Magick and Spells you have to WANT it to happen and BELIEVE it will.
Also you must keep hush about it all, the more you talk about it, the less the effects.

i myself am gutting between wicca and choas magic, mainly because its so hard when i'm in diffrent moods to sick to one when i want to hurt someone i want to make them pay but when i'm calm i just want peace in the world (oh darn i'm a hippy).
i really want to find a coven even if its a online one

Well, i'm not sure if this has been posted before or not, but i'm going to post it anyways.
The Wiccan religion isn't all about magik, karma, and all that jazz. They have their own gods, own religious ceramonies (plenty don't involve magik) and sometimes their own views on topics.
Wicca is more based on nature, keeping nature strong and there. Magik is just a small part of the religion.
One of my friends is Wiccan, and she does very little magik. She's moreso on the nature side of the religion.
This is just what i've heard, but supposedly you get to pick which gods/goddesses you worship in the religion.
