okay the thing i was taught that no it can't go together but really it could because god loves u for who u are and the only thing he really hates is when u commit sexual sin with the same sex but if thats what u like to do then so be it.god really can't do anything but condemn u to hell but that really would'nt matter to me

It's called internal cognitive dissonance, I believe.
Those that are raised as Catholics/Christians/Whatever later discover that they are attracted to others of the same gender.

This can not be, it goes against all that they've learnt. Or does it? Perhaps the authors of the Bible misconstrued God's words, or maybe everyone else but me has it wrong. It's the theory that people will change their perception and beliefs in order for them to not feel emotionally chaotic.

Let's say, for a juicy example, that tomorrow scientists definitely find that homosexuality was caused by being neglected of Vitamin B whilst we were in the womb. They tell us this, with confidence, that it was just a difficiency we faced in developement. Many of us would either outright not believe it, some of us would twist their findings to suit ourselves, like the lack of Vitamin B was just being different, not necessarily better or worse. The few that accepted what the evidence was saying would potentially enter mental chaos.

I hope the Pope and leading Church figures never accept homosexuality, but that's because I myself am atheist. I would like to see the Church dig themselves a huge hole on this one, one that I hope they can't climb out.

i think the bible is more a set of guidelines on how to live life and not a strict set of rules. so i dont think believing in god means u have to be against being gay.

all sin is equal in gods eyes. and everyone in the world sins. THEREFORE, you being gay is no worse than any other sin committed by anyone else. and god "forgives sins". so yes, gays and god can be toghether. [i am gay by the way and this is my view]]

Anyway, with that said...
I am a Christian. I come to the conclusion that God loves me. I know that most people in the world (including my mother...) think it's a choice and learned behavior, but I HAVE to believe that God made me the way I am.
The Bible makes it clear that God creates what he creates for a reason. Here are a few Bible verses, for those who are interested...:

Romans 9:20
But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? "Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, 'Why did you make me like this?'

i honestly dont care wat people say about god dislikin us gays cos i believe in god and if he/she is as caring, loving as people say god is, then he would 'forgive' us if being gay is a sin

I come from a Christian family, attend a Christian school, and you know what is funny, it is their view on homosexuality that leaves me not believing in God. My issue is, my bible teacher sits in class and says that we should not be homophobic, as people attribute that to being problem with Christianity and therefore it looks poorly upon them. He tells us that we need to reach out and help homosexuals as they have lost their way, and need to find themselves again and end their homosexual ways. He, as many others believes its a choice, I'm not out to anybody but my family and here's my issue with that, they say the "lifestyle" is better? Here's my question i plan on asking them the minute i graduate... how could I have made the choice to be homosexual based on better sex and all that nonsense, when im a virgin... whether straight or gay... I've never had an attraction to a girl. Anyways according to him there is some verse in some version of the bible somewhere that says we are in danger of hell fire for our homosexual practices, i cant find the reference and....... i threw out my bible All we need to decide is if we want to believe that our homosexuality keeps us from God, cause interestingly enough there are plenty of things in the bible, given all the different belief systems and all that exist in the world, all groups are doing SOMETHING wrong, so why cant we just simply say that the verse was mis translated? hehe i love that face

God and Gays can go together, and Christians. However I think that being Gay is wrong but BI is okay. As you can still create offspring like Adam + Eve but have some boy fun as well.
