jeez that's horrible! i feel really bad for the mum actually, i know she was pretty ignorant, just throwing away what the therapist said.

to be honest, reading the article, it sounds almost like somebody taking the piss out of fundamental christians; the way she was so blalse about what the therapist said and how she'd find someone more understanding.
