Every single time anyone asks him why he hates gays he says something along the lines of:"Read the bible, that's a stupid question. Don't bother me with stupid questions." He also says that to A LOT of EXTREMELY interesting and smart questions... He doesn't know why himself... Just a freak of nature, like Bush being against Muslims, only Phelps doesn't have the resources to start war.

Phelps also has a larger vocabulary than Bush, altho mostly he just shouts 'FAGS' instead of using it

I think it's pitiful that they actually believe what they're preaching, they use horrible incidents like the murder of five Amish girls as "clear signs" to prove God's angry.

Shirley Phelps, daughter of Fred Phelps and leading spokeswomen:
"...those children were killed at the hands of a raging mad God to punish those families, to punish the state of Pennsylvania..."
She doesn't seem to mention the "clear signs" God gives when anything bad happens to them, like when four of her 12 siblings defected the church, or when anything good happens to America/Gays.
