Piercings [i know its not cultural, but is kinda 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I am often looked at askance when i say this, but i love piercings [mainly ear and eyebrow piercings]. Am i alone in this?

Also, i have wanted my ears pierced for ages, and my mum has never let me lol. Now i am 16, i am legally old enough to get my ears pierced without parental consent - but i cannot be bother to have the fight with my mother that i know would ensue. Equally, i know if i talked to her abt it she wud say no. Does anyone have any suggestions abt how i cn deal with the situation? Or similar experiences?

I love piercings (on other guys) I just find them so hot! Wouldn't get them myself just because I don't like permanence.

I have a confession, I haven't always shied away from piercings. When I was 10 I wanted one in my ear really badly. My mother also said no way in hell as long as I was under her roof. Well that argument lasted about an hour and then my dad came home from work. He took me the next day and got his ear done to so we would have matching piercings. So I guess that's not much help to you.

However my sister was the master of disguise when it came to this! She had multiple piercings and my mother never found out until she moved out. Her trick was to get piercings that could be covered (nipple, navel,etc.). So you could consider getting something that won't be seen. Or if you have exceptionally bushy eyebrows you could probably get that done and put a band-aid over it. That might be kind of obvious though!

My best advice is wait until you move out so that there is no tension in the family. And take my advice as someone who comes from an exceedingly tense situation, believe me you don't want to piss off your mother because she will never forget what you did, EVER!
good luck

Oh, and I took out my piercings. They were a phase, and I got tired of them.

Post edited by: justifythis, at: 2008/01/02 19:41
