Sweeney Todd = Love or Hate? 10 Months ago
Sweeney Todd comes out December 21st (8 days away!!). I just wanted to see who was excited (and who isnt), what people were looking forward to see, etc.!

Personally, I am PUMPED! lol I cannot wait for it - I absolutely love Tim Burton, Helena Bonham-Carter, and most of all JOHNNY DEPP (EEK!)! And when Tim Burton and Johnny Depp get together, the movie already wins me over lol! I can't wait to see how amazing it will be, and see Johnny sing!

Btw, I have no idea what the plot is - so dont ruin it! I would like to be surprised!

Thanks!

I'm definately excited to see it.
The problem with me is that I'm incredibly attatched to the original stage version of the show... so nothing will beat that.
I think Depp and Carter will do excellent jobs. They really can't do any wrong. But the kids playing Anthony and Tobias are a bit young for what I think the parts were written for. That's so far the only beef I have with it.
But for real, Burton is going to make this an amazing movie, I know.

I saw the movie, was really good and I'm a bit off meat pies since the movie.

I did think that Tim Burton influenced the graphic scenes a little too much and it didn't look as real as it could have. But the rest of the movie was good enough to dismiss that.

I absolutely love the movie!

Johnny Depp is basically my hero
I am a softy for musicals and i just love this movie.

the songs are great although they are not very varied but they sure are catchy! i got a couple stuck in my head for a while...

Anyone else notice how very Greek-tragedy like the plot was? I dont want to give it away but it seems like it was based off of some Sophoclean piece...

Anyways this is a lil dated topic but oh wells... i just saw it recently
