Ok, I really dislike High School Musical, and there is going to be a production of it at a theatre nearby. There are a lot of people trying to get me to do it, becuase they think that it will be good exposure for me, and that there will be a lot of people there. I really don't know if I should do it or not, becasue I do theatre because I love it, not for the exposure so that I can promote myself for the future. what do oyu think I should do?

Well here's my answer:

If you do theater as a hobby, just as something you like to do, but have no interest in pursuing as a carear, I wouldn't do it. It's not worth being unhappy just because something could get you exposure.

However, if you want to pursue this as a carear, you damn well better do it. If you have the opportunity to do something that could give you a leg up take it. Opportunities don't grow on trees, you only get so many. I'd advise you to take this opportunity and advance your carear.

But once again, it depends on how you view theater. If it's a hobby, don't do it. If it's a carear, do it. In the end it's up to you anyway.

I just got done with this show and it is an awsome experiance. It will really get you when you see a whole lotta kids up singing and dancing! the songs are really easy to lear, but "Counting On You" and "Cellular Fusion" are both really toughies! But hey its your choice, its a fun show! do it! youll have Fun! GO WILDCATS!

high school musical is actually the worst thing i've ever been forced to listen to.

I think High School musical should be made in a version without sound, just so you can look at the pretty boys without almost vomiting from the disgusting music....

I shall pretend that this convosation never happened! High school musical is the greatest peice of work for the last century... period. With its catchy tunes and multiple peices of eye candy what else cud u ask for. There reli is no sarchasm in this thread i belive every word. Apart from the 1 about it being the greats peice of work for the last century it obviously istn... can u imagine opera being bradcast on the disney channel? I thourght not. BUt it is still magnificent!!!

High school musical is possibly the worst thing i have ever heard. Worse the fact ive been dragged into listening to it hundreds of times by my freaking cousin.

I would never get on a stage for something i didnt like as you could go on stage and do something you love. That way you can feel more comfortable with what your doing.
