Who Can Nominate?
Websites can only be nominated by those who own or manage the website (does not include designers). If you know the manager of a website who you think should nominate their site then please let them know!
I'm not sure my website is right!
In that case just nominate it. Essentially we are looking for high quality websites, if you think you at least meet that criteria then nominate yourself: it's worth a try.
Can I Nominate Repeatidly?
Once you have nominated you cannot nominate again until you have been given a verdict - the server will only accept the first nomination
I've heard it's hard to win an award. Is this true? Why should I bother?
Statistically we award the upper 10% band of websites. That does not mean only 10% of nominations ever win but moreover that we have high standards. 15-35% of nominations win awards with 2% of them winning the 'excellent throughout' award and 5-15% being recognized as having a strong potential. Our awards do ask a certain standard in the way of winning criteria. It is hard to win an award but only because otherwise there would be very little contrast between the really good award winners and the good award winners. All of our award winners, we believe, display skill in what they do.
While the criteria for winning is tough, there are so many websites that do meet such criteria. We encourge all to nominate their websites and reep the benefits of winning an award. We really want people to have these!!
When Can I Nominate my Website Again?
If you win an award you cannot re-nominate yourself (say to gain a 'better' award). If you do wish to win a better award you must email

asking that your award be retracted so the server can accept your nomination. If your website does not win an award you can nominate again straight away
What Kind of Websites Cannot Win?
Porn websites, adult websites, overtly profain websites, homophobic websites, websites displaying prejudice, incomplete websites, profiles (eg. faceparty profiles) and websites that are only shops. Also note that msn groups that do not have a certain number of members (if they are member based) or are only using msn community tools may not be able to win. Msn groups tend to only be recognized for strong potential unless they extend beyond the tools provided by msn.
What kind of websites can win awards?
Any youth orrientated website (these do not have to be orrientated around sexuality). Youth being under the age of 25. Also, any gay/bi/lesbian websites that offer sound resources of some kind can apply. If you are unsure please apply and you will soon find out!
What Information do you take?
We require your websites name and web address (url - eg. http://www.thegyc.com) as well as the nominators name and email address. The email address will only be used to notify winners and nominators about their status in the process. We also ask you to fill in a comments field explaining the objective of your website and your thoughts on its progress including any future plans that you may have.
